Despite your and Bio's objections my analogy applies. It would've been better if you answered honestly, but we'll move past that.
The plain facts are that for the foreseeable future the Saudi's are going to be an indispensable trading partner with a lot of leverage. That means we need to curry favor with them and you don't do that by allowing the media to (deservedly) savage their leader in a public forum for the world to see. MBS is a scumbag but he's the scumbag we're saddled with. Period.
Joe Biden tried playing tough with the Saudis (yeah, I'm gonna talk about Joe Biden) and how did that work out? Great! Until he needed the Saudis to help bring oil prices down. That's why he went to Jeddah and reset relations with them and MBS in 2022. CNN said as much back then.

Trump isn't resetting with MBS. Biden already did that, thus the "off topic" fist bump video.
And what did Joe get for his trouble? Absolutely nothing. The Saudis refused to do anything to help bring prices down. So Joe pulled the oil out of our strategic reserves to increase supply and drive prices down. So the American tax payer footed the bill, right? That's the kind of results you get from ostracizing crucial trade partners.
That's the kind of thing Trump avoids by protecting MBS in a situation like the one in question. MBS is a despicable character but we're stuck with him. To think otherwise is pollyannaish. (apologies to Rooster)
So, ultimately your ire at Trump is misdirected at best. It's Biden who brought the guy back into the fold. And this is simply another TDS driven thread that should've been in the Sandbox all along. Your whining about being off topic is nothing but a dodge. It's called compare and contrast.
