The USA leases land and builds military bases, scores of them. Then we host NATO on our bases.

NATO bases are hosted by the US military. We provide military airports, office space, and base housing for our NATO allies.

If the USA leaves NATO, most NATO bases will shutter.

We built those bases, we pay the land leases, we built and maintain water treatment facilities on each NATO base. And we have invited each NATO nation to freely use those bases.

Our base housing is housing the families of NATO servicemembers.

You so sure about that? I work with people from all over the world...they feel pity for me because of our government. 10 years ago they wished they could live in the US...now they don't want to come here for business meetings. Live in a bubble if you want, the rest of the world doesn't.

No reason the same can't be applied to Greenland.

NATO likely would even help pay for the bases.

Sounds like Europe should up the lease price 10x...who cares about contracts, certainly not Trump.

What does Trump want ? Does he want to buy Greenland ? Isn't Denmark the owner ? And if Denmark doesn't want to sell, Trump will try other means such as more tariffs, or military intervention ?

The uber elite want Greenland for it's rare earth metals so China won't have a monopoly on that particular market over the West. As well as to point more missles at Russia so Greenland makes sense and it probably fits into the Golden Dome plan of sorts.
