Amazon CEO confirms what we know about the delayed impact. Tariffs are increasing prices as frontloaded inventory wanes.
It's funny (and by that I mean infuriating) that MAGAs can't grasp that concept. They seem to think that because prices may not immediately go up that they never will.

Tariffs are taxes and taxes are tariffs. Guess who pays these taxes? We do.

Well, he did threaten tariffs... that part is true. You got to see TACO in action again as Tariffman did his best to present a big ask, got very little, took what little he got as a framework and presented it as a big deal after a lot of bluster and bullshit.

But they did cut a cake

Great article focused on the tariff impact from the loss of the de minimis exemption

Tariffs are impacting the dockworkers trade. Longshoremen are taking it in the shorts due to a lack of both imports and exports.

At a Seattle Port Rocked by Tariffs, There Were 70 Jobs for 600 Workers

Dock workers are used to uncertainty, but nothing since the Great Recession of 2008 compares to what they have experienced this year.

Quote:
U.S. President Donald Trump's latest retreat from a trade war has catalyzed an international asset rally — and revived investors' talk of "TACO" — "Trump Always Chickens Out."

Speaking to CNBC's Joe Kernen at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, onWednesdayevening, Trump said he'd walked back tariffs on European allies because he now had "the concept of a deal" over Greenland, after weeks of demanding to annex it for the U.S.
I take it you didn't bother to buy the dip.

I made a killing

President Trump threatened Canada with a 100% tariff if they solidify a deal with China

Carney thought they could sneak China into our backyard

BIG MISTAKE. CHECK. ♟️

If Governor Carney thinks he is going to make Canada a “Drop Off Port” for China to send goods and products into the United States, he is sorely mistaken. China will eat Canada alive, completely devour it, including the destruction of their businesses, social fabric, and general way of life. If Canada makes a deal with China, it will immediately be hit with a 100% Tariff against all Canadian goods and products coming into the U.S.A. Thank you for your attention to this matter!

Americans Have Paid For 96% of Tariff Costs, Study Finds

https://www.investopedia.com/america...finds-11888852

This is why it's so frustrating. Anyone with more than three brain cells to rub together was warning us that WE, not the foreign countries, would be paying for trump's idiotic and wholly unnecessary tariffs.

And here we have it. Exactly as predicted over and over again. We The People have paid for 96% of donnie dickhead's tariffs.

That extra $200 billion that trump keeps bragging about that his tariffs brought in? WE, the American consumers, have paid for $192 billion of it.

This is why trump needs morons to support him. The "don't believe your lying eyes" crowd. It's the only way he can continue to fleece this country.

He just keeps lying and they just keep believing him over any and all evidence to the contrary. Morons.
