So this human shield tells you to pay her or the dude with the gun is going to do something?

Dude I would have moved her towards the exit and tell the guy to let you out.

Then once out (whether you paid or not) CALL THE COPS! Trust me, they might give you some hassle but they will come and investigate. Especially if you did see a gun and can id the guy as having it.

I know it sounds brave but sometimes you take a stand.. even if you get in your car, drive to another part of the parking lot or down the street to make the 911 call

I understand your stance, but no way am I calling the cops when its a felony to solicit in TX. I would not risk the police connecting the dots in some way onsite - not worth it. while I am onsite, not happening. But I probably would not have accepted the "rumor of a gun, give me all your cash" scam. Its easy to judge when you aren't there, and keep in mind when you are naked you feel more vulnerable. But I am pretty stubborn if I feel I am being scammed.

I had contacted that number Saturday late afternoon. Once I got the address I got feeling I shouldn't go to that neighborhood. Glad I didn't. There's another house not far from there that I was inquiring about but that area at that late of time is like asking for bad things. Remember when I was younger I went to some apartments for a visit and leaving I had a dude follow me once I turned the corner I jumped the fenced and ran to my car (parked outside the fence).
