As a Hispanic myself, I absolutely think they could have done better. 1. He cant sing. 2. He hates America so much, he announced last year(maybe 2 years ago) he wasn't touring in the US. Yet, I bet half his $ came from fans in the US. LMAOOOO!!! It's a JOKe!
I think it's ridiculous to say youre coming to the ALL AMERICAN EVENT to sing in Spanish! We are not in south,central,carribean. This is AMERICA. English. He said he's not racist, yet he made his performance just that. Why? Bc he "sung" only in spanish... I dont agree. They could do better. It's all about the "agendas"... I didnt even watch the game. Sounds like it was a flop anyway.

Ricardo couldn't understand what the hell Bad Bunny was singing. I agree. The man speaks English and Spanish, but he sings pig Latin. Ricardo also didn't like the music, and thought the show was inappropriate for younger viewers because of the obscene language and visuals. (Tiny's note: I believe BB's lyrics were censored for prime time, but enough came through so that Ricardo still found them objectionable.)

Here's my take. I enjoyed the dancing, set, costumes, fiddlers, Ricky Martin and Lady Gaga. The twerking kicked ass. However, Bad Bunny sucks, his voice and his songwriting. As one esteemed board member said,

If you'd taken him out of the show and dropped in my favorite cantante del Caribe, Shakira and her playlist, the show would have been top notch IMO. And to be honest I still enjoyed it, more than the 30 minutes of the game I watched anyway.

Alot of people in the USA understand spanish. Especially that place full of voters: Puerto Rico. Now, when it comes to dialects of said language, some are more difficult than others.

More to the point, why won't the USA give them their independence? They asked for it soon after the Spanish-American war. We said no because we needed to send bodies across the pond for that little thing called WWI. And did same for WWII but with the added insult of granting the Phillipines their independence from being a territory for the same amount of time as PR. They even beat the january 6 crowd by shooting up the Capital demanding their independence.
Being USA citizens, it is their right to go anywhere in *their* country. Maybe if we finally grant them their independence, things be better all around and you would have some validity to your gripes. But PR have proudly served this country despite their prostrations and have spilled blood honourably.

The point being that this is only an issue because Trump and the conservative right has made it an issue.
But I have a hard time believing that MAGA is going to ostracize the NFL. I think that the NFL believes that their existing consumer base is fairly strong. The inclusion of Bad Bunny is simply another way to capture newer fans at a younger age.
