During college, Ocasio-Cortez was an intern for U.S. senator Ted Kennedy, in his section on foreign affairs and immigration issues. In interviews, she said that she was the only Spanish speaker in the office and the sole person responsible for assisting Spanish-speaking constituents. Ocasio-Cortez graduated cum laude from Boston University in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in international relations and economics.
I doubt that you can do all that while being an idiot.

She has no common sense. A person can have all the Education and degrees they want but without common sense and the ability to implement the knowledge you have acquired in the real world it's all null and void. That's AOC. During the years in my career, I met some very well-educated people that were actually quite stupid. So, an Education doesn't necessarily make you automatically intelligent.

I used to not remotely take AOC seriously but now since we have a stupid old senile man in office who seems more interested in his own childish whims than the unity and good of this country for all, it's hard now for me to dismiss her so easily.
AOC is a bit too liberal for my taste and her tax plan would probably scare the shit out of me, but she at least acts like an adult and at this point, and sadly enough, that is actually considered an important attribute to me in a candidate after the MAGA retard show that we have to temporary live through for another few years.
Realistically I don't see how she will be a viable presidential candidate but who the fuck knows what will happen in the future in bizarro world. I certainly do agree that with the way this country is changing that she will certainly become more powerful with time because she is no longer just a loudmouth sideshow IMO.

Excellent points.
While I can’t see her as President at this time, I could see her as Speaker of the House, or if she supplants Schumer, as Senate Majority Leader.
After Mike Johnson, and Mitch McConnell, she would be a vocal asset, unafraid of standing up to whoever the President is, as opposed to being supplicant bootlickers like the GOP hacks are.
In a lot of ways, being Speaker or Senate Leader can be as powerful as being President, if the holders are not terrified by the President.
Remember Tip O’Neill? Presidents catered to him.
The more MAGAtards attack AOC with sexual and competence innuendo, and question her common sense, then you can see how she is rising. MAGA is making her well known. And more formidable every day.
Because she has the courage of her convictions, she can change as the political situation morphs, and still hold her core values.
She also is not afraid to tell MAGAtards to fuck off, in a professional way.

Ocasio-Cortez Offers a Working-Class Vision in Munich, With a Few Stumbles
https://www.nytimes.com/2026/02/13/u...smid=url-share
Quote:
Ms. Ocasio-Cortez has stepped up her visibility in recent months as a leader for Democrats as they oppose President Trump. Speculation about her future political ambitions — she has long been considered a potential presidential candidate — was rife in Munich. Her mere presence was scrutinized as a hint that perhaps she was considering a White House bid and brushing up on world affairs.
The visit also demonstrated the relative foreign policy inexperience of Ms. Ocasio-Cortez, who has made a few overseas trips since taking office but does not sit on any House committees devoted primarily to world affairs. She struggled at times to formulate succinct answers at a nighttime panel session, during which she was asked probing and specific questions about how to respond to international crises.
Questioned about whether the United States should send troops to defend Taiwan if China invaded the island, she stalled for roughly 20 seconds before offering a substantive response.

You can see it in all it's glory from CNN via Mediaite here;
https://www.mediaite.com/media/news/...-policy-issue/
There was no substance. Not remotely. There is no substance to her. She's all about the "feels".
If this is a rising star in the Democratic party, we're all in trouble.
But she could pull $300 an hour easily.

“What we are hoping for is that we want to make sure that we never get to that point,” she added...
“And we want to make sure that we are moving in all of our economic research and our global positions to avoid any such confrontation, and for that question to even arise.”
^^^ Great answer, AOC!
She has clearly thought this one through long & hard... and arrived at the brilliant conclusion, carelessly overlooked by our China foreign policy experts, that, er, ah, you know... maybe a little more "economic research" will deter Chinese President-for-Life Xi Jinping from seeking to take over Taiwan!

I would rather hear her “feels” which are rational and logical rather than the blustering lies coming from our diaper wearing clown of a President.

As opposed to spineless Mike Johnson who stayed home, and can’t say or think a word without asking the Orange Don what to say.

Kudos to AOC for going and putting herself on the line.

I don’t expect people to speak perfectly on a the snap of a finger. People dont always speak perfectly all the time. As a Trump supporter, you should know that, because that guy can’t put two sentences together that make sense…much less one.
You never said “errrr” or “um” once in your life? Maybe you should sit in on that panel and craft perfect seamless answers every time…..
Typical MAGAtard response….attack the personality…not the reality.

Then let's hope she learned that she has no substance and no depth in foreign policy and should not have attended a high-level meeting of our allies to discuss international security issues knowing she would be asked questions she is neither prepared nor qualified to answer!
Her crashing the Munich security conference was even more cringe-worthy than Gov. Gruesome crashing Davos!!
Wtf is wrong with these crazy Democrats?

Sorry to burst your bubble, but I'm not a knee-jerk "Trump supporter" and I don't know what a "MAGAtard" response is. I'm guessing it means any reply you disagree with or can't deal with on its merits.
I do believe in putting country ahead of party. Politics used to stop at the water's edge. That means you don't go overseas to Davos or Munich and talk trash about the people who were elected to chart our economic policy and foreign policy. Extremely bad form. Especially when you're as embarrassingly clueless about the issues as Gruesome and AOC are. They probably think it's cool to give comfort to our adversaries. I can see Xi watching AOC stumble over the Taiwan question, then turning to his aides and saying - fantastic! Let's put our money behind the bartender-waitress!! What can we do to help her??
