I really don't want to demonize the entire of ICE/DHS/CBP.

I'm sure there's a large number of folks who are just trying to do their job well.
I'm also sure there are at least a few 'bad apples' that are the result of hiring massive numbers of folks in too short a period of time, resulting in poor vetting.
And there's a few at the top who are being directed by 'misguided' administration leaders.

It's just a shame that it seems any efforts to actually work on the immigration process and fix that have been abandoned.

On Friday, ICE Acting Director Todd Lyons said that the two officers involved in the January shooting of a Venezuelan immigrant in the leg appear to have made “untruthful statements” under oath, adding that the two are now under investigation by the Department of Justice.

Per a statement given to Politico, Lyons wrote, “A joint review by ICE and the DOJ of video evidence has revealed that sworn testimony provided by two separate officers appears to have made untruthful statements. Both officers have been immediately placed on administrative leave pending the completion of a thorough internal investigation.”

First start to fixing is to fucking kick out the jackboots and have them go through rehiring and than shake out the fucking deviants.

Next, ACTUALLY MAKE SURE THEY ARE TRAINED PROPERLY AND THROUGHLY before putting them on the street with the knowledge there will be oversight.

"Do you realize that Operation Metro Surge picked up 4,000 illegal alien criminals? Rapists, murderers, pedophiles, drug dealers — 4,000!"

He made no comment on the three pardons issued to NFL players for d*** related crimes.

"And by the way, I was told that, coming down here from the [House floor], that they've also located 3,000 missing migrant children. I mean, that's just in the Minneapolis area. You gotta be kidding me."

Odd, haven't heard any other reports on '3000 missing migrant children'...oh wait, Homan said something about that...where is ICE/CBP/DHS holding those 3000 kids?
Did they deport them or reunite them with family?

This is why people have such a problem with ICE’s campaign of intimidation against immigrants. If the Trump administration would simply follow the law they would be in a much better position to defend their actions against criticism. As it stands now they appear to be consciously trying to provoke public outrage against their actions. Which presumably is what they want. Outrage and intimidation.

Bush, wrote last week, ordering the release of a Venezuelan detainee in the state.

Most of the rulings center on the Trump administration’s departure from a nearly three-decade-old interpretation of federal law that immigrants already living in the United States could be released on bond while they pursue their cases in immigration court.

The Department of Justice admitted in a recent court filing that it had violated over 50 court orders in immigration cases — and that stunning figure was just since Dec. 5 and only included cases in New Jersey.

Associate Deputy Attorney General Jordan Fox, who was tapped in December to help lead the Justice Department’s New Jersey office after temporary pick Alina Habba was forced out, said those violations were spread across more than 547 immigration cases that have flooded the courts since early December, straining both prosecutors and judges.

Most had court orders protecting them from removal to their home countries, so they were sent to detention in Cameroon.

In a secret deportation arrangement, the Trump administration flew nine people, nearly all of whom had been granted U.S. court protections from being sent back to their home countries, to the African nation of Cameroon in January.

None of them are from Cameroon, according to government documents obtained by The New York Times and lawyers for the deportees, and the United States has not made any public deal with Cameroon to accept deportees who hail from other nations.

Several of the men and women deported — whose cases have not been previously reported — told The Times they did not know they were being sent to Cameroon until they were handcuffed and chained on a Department of Homeland Security flight leaving Alexandria, La., on Jan. 14.

OOPSIE...DHS admits its website showcasing the ‘worst of the worst’ immigrants was rife with errors

The Department of Homeland Security admitted that its website featuring what it calls the “worst of the worst” arrested immigrants was rife with errors and changed the site this week after receiving questions from CNN about it.

DHS created the website in December and the agency, its secretary Kristi Noem and the White House have all heavily promoted it on social media as the Trump administration has sought to justify its aggressive and heavily scrutinized immigration enforcement operations.

The website currently lists about 25,000 people, along with the crimes the agency says they were arrested for or convicted of — including many who were initially linked only to relatively minor offenses.
