Shhhhh....don't tell anyone. It wasn't a malfunction.
My insiders say that the IRG targeted the school with that missile! It was a False Flag op!

The school thing wasn’t a malfunction, it was attached to a military installation, part of it from the air. I’m sure that they’d have rather have hit somewhere else in the compound, just 100m southwest would’ve been dead center, but didn’t. The “it’s an Iranian malfunction” story is fake news.
@GeoConfirmed over on X has a good thread with all the coordinates etc but I’m unsure how to migrate it here. Have a look, 2nd post on their page.

I didn't bother to ask at the time as I knew it was just reflexive MAGA denial and propaganda. But it was impressive how quickly he posted this. It was a piece of Right-wing media click-bait that claimed some asshole in a Think Tank said this "might" have been the cause. And he fell for it immediately.
But yeah...it was a lie. There will be many more to come.

You forgot to post the typical huge, ranting "media" quote where you got this idea from. Then again...maybe you finally realized that no one reads them.

Do you not remember how Iran was prior to 1979 Islamic Revolution when the Shah was still the leader?
It was great and it was a vacation gem destination of the Middle East.

Before the 1979 Islamic Revolution, Iran under Shah Mohammad Reza Pahlavi was a rapidly modernizing, pro-Western monarchy known for social liberalization, booming oil-driven economic growth, and a cosmopolitan culture. Tehran and other cities resembled Western urban centers, with women in fashion, active nightlife, and tourism flourishing, making it a prominent Middle East destination.
Life in Iran Before 1979:
Westernization & Modernization: The Shah’s "White Revolution" launched in 1963 aimed to rapidly modernize, with significant investment in education, infrastructure, and industry.
Social Freedoms: Women’s rights were greatly expanded, allowing them to vote, hold office, attend universities, and enter the workforce. Western dress, music, and social norms were common in urban areas.
Tourism Gem: Iran was a popular tourist destination, known for its diverse landscape, including skiing, beaches, and historical sites.
Geopolitics: The Shah was a key U.S. ally, maintaining strong ties with the West and operating as a major regional power

They aren't in Iran either.
I wonder...if I was to look back...how many people who will make this argument in coming days also posted back in June about how wonderfully successful our bombing campaign against the Iranian nuke sites was.
Don'cha remember? We "completely and totally obliterated" them!
You were lied to then. You've been lied to now. We never learn.

Are you freaking serious? This is incredibly naive.
You might want to read up a little on the real history here.
Our support of the 1953 coup that put the Shah in power generated the very animosity and hatred of us that ultimately led to what is happening now. We are still coping with the absolute fucking mess that we triggered over 70 years ago.
Faak.

The imbedded link for “real history” doesn’t work. Could you post the actual address, I’m interested in reading it.

It wasn't a link, sorry. It was just a word underlined and "bolded" for emphasis. I'll be more careful about format in the future. But there is tons of background about this out there, both recent and from years past.

I’m not sure it’s accurate to say ‘the law is clear’ like there’s no debate here. Questions about presidential war powers versus congressional approval have been argued by both parties for decades. Smart people on both sides disagree about where that line is.
And saying Democrats would tip off a hostile government just to hurt Trump is a pretty serious claim. That’s not just ‘they leak too much’ — that’s accusing elected officials of effectively helping an enemy and risking American lives. If there’s evidence of that, that would be enormous. If there isn’t, it feels like we’re jumping straight from partisan distrust to assuming half the government would commit treason.
There’s a difference between political disagreement and assuming the other side would actively help an enemy kill Americans.
