I need some help, my hobby has taken a hit when I joined the family location sharing. Anyone else have the same problem? If so, what’s your work around?

Specifically iPhone - Find my iPhone/ location sharing


Things I’ve tried or know I can do:
1. Airplane mode but disables my phone and I need it for work texts.
2. Stop sharing location temporarily. (She is catching on)

Save the judgement it’s not the purpose of the post. Looking for technical advice.

Sorry I'm no help but there's no way I'm sharing my location with my spouse.

I can’t give you any technical advice but I guess she is already suspicious since she checks often enough to see you’re temporarily disabling it. My advice is lay low for a while until she doesn’t check so frequently.

While I haven't personally used it for your specific purpose, when I used to play Pokemon Go (don't judge), I used https://www.ianygo.com for GPS spoofing. I haven't played in a while, but it definitely got the job done for I needed it for.

Any GPS spoofer should be able to work for what you describe.

Get an Apple Watch with cellular. Leave phone at office, go anywhere and still get text messages and calls.

I would think the apple watch would also report GPS location, especially if you do a "find my device".


I think OPs best option is a GPS spoofer, or start leaving the iphone in the office.

You can't use a high tech solution for a high tech problem. Use an analog solution for the high tech problem. Buy a 10 dollar burner phone that just texts. That solves the problem

A burner helps, but if he keeps his iPhone in his vehicle, its location is still identifiable. Not everyone has an office to leave their phones.

I phones are the worst for Americans they definitely destroy you're privacy if the right person knows you have a iPhone all they need is your number they can track an clone the phone why do you think so many ppl are are going android just check reddit an X for the horror stories

Of COURSE it makes a difference. The iPhone tracks your last location before you power down. Step 1. Power down phone at office. Step two. Drive to ladies incall and communicate with burner phone. Step three. Get head. Step four. Leave ladies incall and turn iPhone back on. Step five. Thank Daddy AL50 for the hobby tools necessary to be a SUCCESS.
