Democrats loved Trump, until he ran for president.
If that is true then why did HRC get 88% of the black vote in 2016 and Harris got over 80% in 2024 presidential elections. Maybe it's the blacks that don't vote who love him.
But did Jesse Jackson vote for Trump. I seriously doubt it. Here are some of the things Jesse has said about Trump.
Responding to Trump’s repeated claim during the 2016 campaign that Black voters had nothing to lose by voting for him, Jackson countered “You have everything to lose and nothing to gain,” per the Florida Times-Union.
After the deadly 2017 Charlottesville "Unite the Right" rally protesting the removal of a Robert E. Lee statue, where one woman was killed after a car rammed into counter-protesters, Jackson tied the tension to presidential rhetoric,
“Acid rain is coming from the top down,” said Jackson, per the the Memphis Commercial Appeal. “The ignorance and hate and fear and violence in Virginia is being fed from the top down. The incitement to violence is very apparently coming from the White House.”
In 2018, the civil rights leader criticized Trump for reported comments about some immigrants to the U.S., saying they had come from "s***hole countries." “The language of Donald Trump has been a source of shame for our nation,” he said, per Cleveland.com. “Humiliation and untruth.”
Commemorating the 1965 voting rights march across the Edmund Pettus Bridge known as Bloody Sunday, Jackson told Yahoo News he thought Trump would “probably [have been] with the storm troopers,” if he was in Selma at the time.
In a 2023 wide-ranging interview with The New Republic about the then-upcoming 2024 race and his own legacy, Jackson said: “Trump wants to pull us back into white supremacy.”

I would wager that any of those that made up the 8% difference have changed their minds.
Jesse Jackson is a HUGE supporter of President Trump and always has been much like other top Democrats. Jesse had a fair chance at becoming the first black President and I believe was the 2nd black American to run for President. America still hasn't had a black President after 249 years as Obama was 50% caucasian but that's a different topic.
Actually, Trump was a favorite of the democrats right up to that ride down the Golden Escalator. He had a top rated TV show, he was honored by Israel and black organizations. Hillary and Bill came to his daughter's wedding. He was invited on Oprah, the View, 60 Minutes, and many other shows.
Oh yeah, little dems. Trump was a favorite until he let it be known that the dems were not getting the job done and had forgotten the country.

Curious if you know without looking it up, who was the first black person to run for president?
I don't remember her at all, but I do remember Richard Pryor and Pat Paulson either one would have made great presidents if this country wasn't so dam racist.
And Jesse Jackson's own son tore into Clinton, Obama, and Biden for the things they spewed at the funeral. Trump gave Jackson and his organization office space. None of those others did. Just more crying from the left after getting called out as what they truly are.
