Canadians are significantly reducing travel to the U.S. during the Trump administration, leading to a 22% drop in 2025 visits, costing the U.S. economy $4.5 billion. Instead, they are prioritizing domestic travel within Canada (up 6% in summer 2025), alongside increased visits to Mexico, Europe, Japan, and Thailand.
They are doing a lot of staycations within the country also.
