There's a lot packed into that post—let's break it down step by step so almost anyone can understand.
First, the DHS shutdown. Republicans killed eight different Democratic bills to keep TSA funded. Eight! It only happened because Trump wouldn't sign off unless it included ICE money too. That's straight from the records, not some spin. Pinning it on Dems who were begging to pass those bills? That's next-level sticking to the script.
Then, this "free ID" thing. About 2.6 million Americans straight-up don't have any government photo ID. We're talking mostly older folks, poor people, and rural types—not exactly masterminds plotting at the ballot box. And the SAVE Act? It demands passports or citizenship papers that run over $100 and take weeks to get. Courts have tossed similar voter ID laws before because they hit minority voters hardest. The "just grab one for free, easy peasy" line? Yeah, that's been battle-tested in court... and it flopped.
Comparing it to vaccine cards? A card got you into Applebee's for wings. Voter ID is about whether a citizen gets to vote—a straight-up constitutional right. If those seem the same to you, we need way more than a quick chat to unpack that.
Props though—cramming three talking points into one post like that? Almost impressive. Almost.

Incorrect…again.
Your birth certificate can be used for proof of citizenship. And it doesn’t cost over $100 to get one nor does it take weeks to get. Trust me, I had to get a new one from NYS and I did it all the way from TX. Cost me way less than $100 (I believe it was less than $20) and I had it in less than two weeks.
If a person can’t find their birth certificate (or proof of citizenship papers), get off your ass and go get a new one. It’s a small price to pay to prove you’re a U.S. Citizen and that you’re eligible to vote in Federal Elections. And yea…it’s a Constitutional Right…For! U.S.! Citizens! ONLY!
I’m sure you’ll get it twisted cause that’s how you roll, so before you do…
This isn’t about keeping the poor, or rural folks, or granny from voting. It’s about keeping illegal non-citizens from voting. And I don’t give a fuck if one illegal gets away with voting or a million illegals do. One is too damn many. IMHO of course.
And if it’s true that ~2.6 million American Citizens don’t have a government issued photo I.D., they need to get off their ass and get one or suffer the consequences of not being able to vote. That number is small compared to the fact that we now have ~20 million more illegals in this country thanks to the Biden Admin. If Biden didn’t allow our borders to be completely open to everyone and anyone, this would most likely be a mute point.

Let's see if we can sort through your mess of a posting. I understand these details can be complicated for you, so let's break it down carefully.
Birth certificates have to meet strict SAVE Act requirements: full names of at least one parent, a signature from an authorized official, and a government seal. Not every birth certificate qualifies. And if your name changed — as it has for roughly 69 million American women through marriage or divorce — your birth certificate alone won't be sufficient. Your experience in New York is one story from one clerk's office, not a national policy framework.
Here's the part you'll probably ignore anyway: the Bipartisan Policy Center found that Republicans rely on birth certificates more than Democrats. Since birth certificates don't always meet the Act's requirements, this law may actually hurt Republican voters more. Take a moment with that — if that's something you're capable of.
"Get off your ass and get one" is not a policy argument — it's impatience dressed up as civic virtue. Many of those 2.6 million people are elderly, disabled, or in rural areas without transportation. A constitutional right shouldn't depend on your personal experience with a convenient clerk's office.
Noncitizen voting? Utah reviewed 2 million registered voters and found one bad registration and zero illegal votes. Federal data puts it at 0.04%. You're treating a rounding error like a five-alarm fire.
This isn't about verifying citizenship — that's already required and enforced. It's about building an obstacle course around a problem that essentially doesn't exist, while accidentally kneecapping your own voters in the process.

And that response wasn't even close to almost impressive. Constant whining about Republicans when the DEMS shut down the government. That's where it began. By the way, ICE is fully funded until 2029 so there goes that talking point. Dems refused to vote on anything offered as well, because the suffering of American people is more important than keeping them safe. A birth certificate? I got a copy of mine for $10. In less than 15 minutes. Just need to go to the office (or contact them) and ask. What flopped was Dems in North Carolina years ago claiming that is was too hard to get an ID. It was proven that anybody in the state could get a free ID without issue. It's called get up and go do it. Noting you ignore the fact that Dems wanted vaccine cards to be a requirement to essentially leave your home. But no ID to vote. Which (as FBSM stated) is a right for American citizens only.

There's a lot going on here, and none of it is fully fleshed out. Let us see if we can clarify it.
The ICE funding claim is technically correct but spectacularly misleading—a real feat. ICE was funded separately through 2029. That is precisely why Democrats proposed funding every other DHS part—TSA, FEMA, Coast Guard, CISA—while ICE talks continued. Republicans blocked that bill six times. Unpaid TSA workers had nothing to do with ICE and everything to do with Republicans holding the rest of the department hostage. Please follow along.
The birth certificate story is charming. One person's experience at one clerk's office in one state is not a national policy. We have addressed this repeatedly.
The North Carolina ID claim did not hold up. A federal court struck down that law because it targeted Black voters with what the judge called "almost surgical precision." "Free and easy" came with some fine print.
The vaccine card argument keeps returning like a bad penny. A vaccine card got you into Applebee's. Voter ID determines if a citizen can exercise a constitutional right. These are not the same. Repetition does not change that.
This is what happens when you toss five half-formed arguments at the wall and hope something sticks. Nothing did.

That's a fascinating question—especially coming from someone who hasn't answered a single direct question in this thread, tackled any data points, or built a full argument yet.
So far, your posts have been memes, out-of-context one-liners, and the odd sentence fragment. You've been here the whole time and basically said nothing. Hard to argue with that level of dedication.
But hey, keep cherry-picking lines from posts you clearly skimmed and firing off the first thing that pops into your head. It's a killer strategy.

Do you really wanna make this personal and attack me personally? If so, this isn’t going to end well for you and most likely resulting in a little vacation. Your condescending comments are well noted and aren’t helping your argument at all. Try sticking to the facts, stop attacking me and others personally or go back to the National Political Forum with your friends where you can get away with it.
Matter of fact, you’re starting to sound familiar. And your one and only review is from…Florida? Interesting…

You forgot your signature punctuation mark (period) a few lines down.

Condescending? Let's look at the actual record. People in this thread called me a liar, suggested others here don't speak English, and casually referenced executing political opponents. It is all right there.
Saying "let's sort through your mess of a posting" is a comment about your argument. That is not a personal attack — it is an accurate description.
Although — the fact that you are now threatening mod complaints rather than addressing a single data point does suggest something landed. Nerves, perhaps.
As for the mods? Go ahead. I have been on the receiving end of insults, references to executing political opponents, and condescension throughout this thread, while sticking to facts and data the entire time. If you want that review, knock yourself out. I will be right here.
The facts are on the record. I have stuck to them. You should try it sometime.

Nope, nothing landed and not threatening anything. The Mods will do what they feel needs to be done. There was no data to address, you didn’t post any (which was actually in a different thread) as I’ve already mentioned. I think I’m the one who hit a nerve.
You also forgot your signature punctuation point again.

The data's all right here in this thread—CBP stats, court rulings, Bipartisan Policy Center breakdown, Utah's citizenship check, noncitizen voting numbers. Posted it all, and it's gone unaddressed. If you're missing it, that's on reading comp, not me skimping.
Hitting a nerve? Nah, someone firing back with memes, zingers, and mod calls isn't rattled—they're just out of ammo.
The signature punctuation thing — no idea what you are referring to, but if it brings you comfort, by all means carry on with it.
I am also glad you are reviewing my posts in other threads. I hope the experience proves instructive. I realize it may not be immediately obvious to you.

T'aint worth it, dude. The bigotry and hatred here is indefatigable, and there is just a very small group of same-old-same- OLD's who try to one-up each other with re-quotes and re-tweets that they hope will seem original. It's much more fun to tear up inane logic like this in the national PF...and few of these have the balls to play there. You, yssup, and tx-dot would crush them....

This is mostly just talk, fd-guy. Mostly. But beware. This fish don't fight his own battles, no matter how much he will protest that he does....and he will protest...wait for it....

Don't flatter yerself.
I don't give a flat fuck what you say about me here, but it is totally unfair to make this implication about a member who doesn't deserve it.
Why, I would even think... that making such an unfounded accusation would perhaps be... actionable?
But if you think you have a case... PLEASE DO...bring a Mod right the fuck into this and make your charge. I insist. I'm sure fd-guy does too.
(actually, check your PM's!!)

Gawd damn. Stalk much? Obsess much? Holy shit.
Let's bring the Mod. They can tell. You cannot. And ya got this one wrong, fer sure.
Otherwise, get over yerself. I haven't acknowledged you for months except to call out this false accusation. You ain't worth it.
(Hey! I'll give ya a free one, though! Almost. I've got 22 points against me, as I speak. If you can make the slightest thing stick...you will get rid of me again with less effort than it ever took ya before! If you don't want it...maybe Lantern duz!)
And I close...once again...with..... THE MARK OF THE BEAST!
The dreaded.....

Well you wanted the mods to get involved you got it. I hope all enjoyed the results
Here is some good reading
#1 - Avoid cases of unprovoked rudeness to others. No place for it here. Yes, with the dynamic nature of the threads and topics, tempers will flare and things will become heated from time to time. You may often encounter individuals who become passionate or emotional when expressing one's opinion or point of view. That's all understood and perfectly acceptable within reason…….but, start slamming or bashing another member and be met with consequences.
#4 -Blatant insults or hostility toward another member will be met with staff intervention. This applies to using our coed forums for name calling, personal attacks, or vulgar slang terms to describe fellow members. If you have legitimate concerns about another member here, share them tactfully in the appropriate private forums or with staff.
