Before you leftists get started I will state that YES the oil did and does make Iraq strategically important. But Syria?

It is our business b/c American's for the most part are soft pussy whipped morons. The nightly news will show us pictures of dead children in the streets. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Some whiney mother whose child was just killed will be put on camera saying, "the West needs to come and help us". We are spoonfed this shit from a media just aching to "help" Obama look like a strong military guy headed into the election. Ever since Bill Clinton sat on his hands (rightfully so) when Africans were slaughtering Africans, no American president wants to be seen sitting idly by while so-called atrocities are taking place. Mark my words, Obama will do something in Syria before November, and I hope it backfires-- just like Egypt and Libya. How did those "insurgencies" work out? So far, not in the best national interest of the United States. Lastly, this shit has been going on since recorded history. Only difference is the current 24 hour news cycle that bombards us daily with it. Oh, and does anyone really think we can make a difference? Hell no. Just accept the fact humans will do horrible things to other humans. Can't change that.
