What are your thoughts/ideas on BUTT PLUGS????

Yes, I've played with plugs, as both the inserter and insertee.

For men its as close as they will get to understanding what its like for a woman to be penetrated. For the ladies it's probably a bit more complicated, but hopefully they enjoy it for what it is.

Used properly and with the right partner/situation they can be immensely enjoyable. But (pun unintended) it's also an expressway to blowing a session if they are used the wrong way. I dunno about most, but having something rammed in your ass when its not ready frigging hurts and is a complete turn-off.

they generally come in 3 sizes---small, medium, large. small is def recommended for beginners and really shouldn't involve much if any physical discomfort. it takes some training to be able to take the medium size. i personally can't imagine being able to handle a large, but i'm sure it is possible.

The keys to ANY anal play is most definately patience, patience and plenty of lube whether you are the giver or the reciever. Have ventured into this realm some and once you get past the macho " Not in my ass" part it can be a lot of fun not to mention enlightning. being able to relax is also a key. most of the initial pain comes from not being able to relax. my experience is that if it goes in painfully, the pain doesn't go away. once you learn to relax for insertion, then pain isn't an issue.

About 4 weeks ago I had my first prostate exam. There won't be a second. I kept on waiting to feel two hands on my shoulders. From the time he said, "this won't take but a few seconds," to a couple of days later, I had discomfort. Going to the bathroom (BM) was exreemly painful including staining of blood. It gave me a different prospective to anal for a woman (or guy for that matter)

Most have mentioned the patience, relaxation, and lubrication that is involved in the insertion of the plug, but you also need to be VERY careful when you decide to remove them. This requires the same degree of patience as insertion.

I agree with most everything posted so far--start with a small, nonthreatening toy, use lots of lube and lots of patience. If using one of the standard size plugs, starting with one finger and then inserting a second after a few minutes can help gradually stretch the canal before starting with the plug. Being relaxed, comfortable with each other, and in the right erotic headspace is key.
