Because men assume that most girls who never learned to read and write well, got this way because they were practicing other skills.

And, to be honest, if I wanted a girl for her ability to read, write, and carry on a meaningful conversation beyond small-talk and common interests, I'd go on a date with someone from my peer group.

And I think the word is alliterate... not illiterate in this case.

I figured i'd just give this answer instead of saying "Because he's a guy just being a guy".

When I was young and stupid, I was really proud to have a good looking woman on my arm. It made me feel good and admired when other men saw me with an attractive lady. I later learned that what is in a woman's head is more important than just good looks. A beautiful body is nice, but a woman has so much more to offer a guy than just beauty.

JR, that is very true in the sense of having a legitimate monogomous relationship. But we're not talking about walking hand and hand with that significant other...what we're talking about is totally different. She asked why do guys spend money on illiterates, and what my comment (along with almost every other comment by a male on here) stated is that males are "visual creatures", and most times what we want out of that hour that we PAY for (key word being pay) is a sexual fantasy...and when choosing a provider, itz almost ALWAYS about looks and the services provided.

SillyGirl, i dont necessarily think it was controversial because everything everyone said on here was true. I think that in the end, some guys just dont care WHO they see...literate or not. An intelligent woman just makes the encounter all that much better.
