And certain mods use those instructions go well beyond the scope of that single guideline of just keeping threads on topic.

GL #29 is a joke as it is definitely NOT the mission of the entire staff to provide an ideal environment for ALL MEMBERS to be able to interact on the site.

I agree with this. The heavy handed moderating is unnecessary in many cases. I see many of our “valued posters” banned over the lamest infractions especially in the political forum. The bias there amounts to censorship. Many posters that I personally know agree with this.

Having said that I want to point out that Im not singling out any particular moderator and do recognize that they have a hard job dealing with a group like this..Im sure it can be a huge headache. Ive been offered the job on other sites, but even if I had the time I still wouldn’t do it. It’s kind of like being a policeman…..lousy pay, you put your whole life on the line and nobody likes you..but HAY! That’s a job for me!

My hats off to anyone who does this job. But I will say some of you are better than others and those that bully their posters is not a good look.

This is just my opinion so if anyone has a problem with it I invite you to send me a pm and we can have a free open and friendly conversation about it..
