If that's true, maybe you could make a case that 3 months were sufficient to spend in jail for what he did. The 87 months he got was excessive. Remember, he spent campaign contributions on personal expenses. I bet that goes on a lot, although violators aren't as flagrant as Santos was. He still should have had to pay some restitution.
Anyway, if you're going to criticize Trump for this commutation, should you also criticize Biden for pardoning six family members, including Hunter?
