Take a deep breath, ok? This stuff is easy to look up. Here are some closing numbers for the S&P 500:

11/4/24 (day before election): 5,713
1/19/25 (day before inauguration): 5,937
5/13/25 (today's close): 5,887

So the market, as measured by the S&P 500, is currently up by 3.0% since Trump was elected and down by 0.8% since he was inaugurated. Better pick another fight, this one ain't worth arguing about.

The Consumer Price Index rose by 0.2% in April, not 2.3%. The 2.3% figure is the CPI increase over the past 12 months. In January 2025, the YoY increase was 3.0%. So the annual rate of inflation, measured by the 12-month CPI increase, is clearly slowing. Lantern2814 was correct to say it is a 4-year low.
