Some of you are probably too young to remember when it was legal for 18-year-olds to buy booze. That became legal because a lot of people pointed out that 18 was old enough to be drafted, issued a weapon, and sent out to be killed, so how come they couldn't buy a beer? There was no good answer to that one (and there still isn't).

And, since you ask, the draft had already ended when it became legal. Just barely. 18-year-olds were still required to register, for several more years, but no one was actually being drafted at that point.

Yeah, IIRC, in most places now when you register to vote, it auto registers you into the draft pool.

Agreed! As long as women (or gays or really anyone) can perform the requirements of the job, I don't see any reason to exclude them.

I'd expand on the kicking ass to more than Muslim assholes, but any assholes - Muslim, Christian, Jewish, Atheist, White, Black, Yellow, what have you.

And those guys get that without having to pay extra!
