The Kaiser foundation disagrees with you. There were 47 million citizens who were uninsured before the ACA was implemented. From the link:
In January 2014, the major coverage provisions of the 2010 Affordable Care Act (ACA) went into full effect. These provisions include the creation of new Health Insurance Marketplaces where low and moderate income families can receive premium tax credits to purchase coverage and, in states that opted to expand their Medicaid programs, the expansion of Medicaid eligibility to almost all adults with incomes at or below 138% of the federal poverty level (FPL). The ACA has the potential to reach many of the 47 million Americans who lack insurance coverage, as well as millions of insured people who face financial strain or coverage limits related to health insurance.

If your income is a family of 4 and < $24,000 the ACA law is putting those below this income level on Medicaid for the states that accepted the Expanded Medicaid. So, as of right now about 20 million more people have become insured because of the ACA. Almost 11 million of them are getting the Expanded Medicaid, about 9 million more people are getting a private health insurance plan.
If your income is a family of 4 and >$24,000 and < $94,000 the ACA law will give that family a subsidy to help pay for a private insurance plan on the government exchanges. The closer your income is to $24,000 the larger the subsidy. The closer your income is to 94,000 the smaller the subsidy.
If your income is family of 4 and > $94,000 you will not get a subsidy to help pay your premium. The government has determined that if your income is higher than $94,000 that there is enough disposable income to pay for health insurance in the individual market without a subsidy.

your buttbrother in arms assuprider makes a combined income less than 94,000 and he's already whined about it's cost. this is a tax fine/rebate. i make more than assholerider's combined family and i do not want anything to do with ACA. i'll take my corporate medical care as it is by far better than the ACA tax forcing millions into a bad plan and fining them if they do not.
GO AWAY.

The ACA is for uninsured people who can't get health insurance from their employer. The population of the USA is about 330 million people. About 280 million have health insurance, about 50 million do not. The law is trying to get those 50 million insured. If you get health insurance where you work then you can't even apply for Obamacare. Now go study next weeks college football games.

It is clear that the concept of probability and risk is beyond you. The health insurance companies have to take on more risk, especially in the individual market. No insurance company is going to make profit selling insurance to policy holders that all sick. The individual mandate was put in to ACHIEVE balanced risk pools. Mitt Romney's "Romneycare" has the individual mandate. Did you cry about that then or just now?
Why is United Health Care thinking about not selling policies on the exchanges after 2017, because most of the policyholders they got from the government exchanges are already sick and submitting far more claims (to be paid out) than premium collected. The risk pools have to be balanced or the health insurance companies will go out of business. Before the ACA high risk people were weeded out, see that post by J.D Barleycorn where he talks about health insurance and keeping sick people (high risk) off the lifeboat.
If all the health insurance companies stop selling health insurance on the government exchanges, then the USA will go to a single payer system. Be careful what you wish for. A single payer system like Canada or Great Britain will certainly a lot more than the ACA costs now.

Looks like #1 you bought into the snake oil .. "lock, stock, and barrel" and
#2 now you are back up to the "50 million uninsured" .... "goal."
Are you there because it justifies pissing off the money? Or are you there because that was the lie that was used to justify this mess in the first place?
The argument is the same used now to justify bringing refugees "from Syria"!
YOUR BOSS claims those opposing are against ("afraid of") "women and orphans"!
The actual number in the beginning of INVOLUNTARY UNINSURED ...
........ was around 11 million. The rest was "GRUBER" BULLSHIT.
http://www.blackagendareport.com/con...better-nothing
" The first clue that something is deeply wrong with the Obama health care proposal is its timeline. According to a copyrighted July 21 AP story by Ricardo Alfonso-Zaldivar,
“ President Lyndon Johnson signed the Medicare law on July 30, 1965, and 11 months later seniors were receiving coverage. But if President Barack Obama gets to sign a health care overhaul this fall, the uninsured won't be covered until 2013 — after the next presidential election.
“In fact, a timeline of the 1,000-page health care bill crafted by House Democrats shows it would take the better part of a decade — from 2010-2018 — to get all the components of the far-reaching proposal up and running.”
After Obaminable has been re-elected and a proponent of it replaces him!
They didn't plan on GRUBER telling the truth!
