there's one email that was revealed during when this all blew up for which she could be easily be prosecuted for tax fraud as well as whoever aided her in it

she was due to be paid a bonus and she emailed back, don't pay me this year, my tax will be too high, pay it after the first of the year.

income is earned and taxed in the year you receive it or have the right to receive it...if because of your own wish you put receiving it off, its still your income because of the unfettered right to receive it
