Yussup, as usual, I have no idea what you are talking about.

Wow, Ellen. You can't remember when you've posted, you're incapable of staying on topic, you can't answer questions, and you can only reply with stupid meaningless memes. I think senility might be kicking in, lol

In post #339 you wrote "Fact: You said that Trump actions are just for the rich. I posted a link to counter that - the folks in the link ARE NOT RICH. You are wrong. That's the bottom line."

My response "His actions thus far say that he has the interest of RICH Americans in mind."

And then I listed his major actions that most certainly favor the rich over those that are not so rich. His actions are not JUST for the rich, but they definitely give more to the rich than the average family in this country. His proposed health care plan.
Immigration. Tax reform.

Wishful thinking, nuggy. I wouldn't drop trumpy's name into the celebrity death pool. If you want to win, go with John McCain. Or Bob Dole. Or Bush 41. Or Ruth Bader Ginsberg.

Yeah speedy, keep beating those class warfare drums.

Hmmm... how does tighter enforcement of our immigration laws favor the rich? Oh wait, it doesn't.

Employers will have to pay more when they can no longer hire cheap illegal workers.

I said "immigration". I did not say "tighter enforcement of our immigration laws".

Trump's proposed immigration policy eliminates the diversity visa lottery in favor of "merit-based" immigration. The merits? English speaking. Highly educated. With a high level job skill. Or, as Trump put it, people from countries like Norway rather than those from "shithole countries" in Africa.

I'm all for attracting people to come to this country to fill those high-level jobs. I'm also for letting people into this country who are poor and willing to work their butts off for a better life in this country. We can continue to do both.

Yes, I know you said "immigration". Now you want to limit the discussion to a cherry-picked subset of questions under that topic. You're as pathetic as li'l mongrel.

You like the lottery program? So does Sayfullo Saipov!

Sounds reasonable to me!

He didn't say "in Africa". You had to tack that on to make him sound racist, didn't you?

Agreed on your last point. As long as they come in legally. Oh wait - that means enforcing our immigration laws, something you don't want to talk about. And you still haven't explained how any of this is a give-away to the rich. The truth is - as I pointed out - some rich Americans will actually be hurt if their pool of cheap illegal immigrant labor dries up. And some poor Americans will actually be helped if there is less competition for unskilled jobs.

I limited it to a certain aspect of immigration because that is the point I was making. Enforcing immigration policies may or may not affect just the poor. Going to a full merit-based immigration policy does affect the poor. Don't try to be a total asshole with every post. If you want to discuss ALL immigration policies start the discussion yourself with specific points or questions. If I feel like responding I will.

You accuse ME of cherry-picking and then you bring up Sayfullo Saipov. Not every person who enters our country, legally or illegally, is going to be a model citizen. The overwhelming majority are. To cite a single example of where the immigration system failed is ridiculous.

We disagree on merit-based immigration. Fine. I can live with that. Your opinion, my opinion. Opinions are not wrong. My maternal grandparents came from Germany and Russia knowing no English, maybe HS education, and with no specific job skills.
Assuming you are not Native-American, would the first members of your family tree to emigrate to the U.S. have qualified under Trump's proposed plan?

"One person briefed on the meeting said when Durbin got to Haiti, Trump began to ask why we want people from Haiti and more Africans in the US and added that the US should get more people from countries like Norway."

Sorry. I forgot Haiti, which we all know is lily white. I did not bring up the statement with race in mind but rather countries that are extremely poor but now that you mention it. . .

FWIW I do not support open borders and illegal immigration one bit. How to shut off the borders effectively is another story. As Gharkal pointed out in the Political Forum, illegals crossing from Canada is becoming more of a problem. So do we build a wall between the U.S. and Canada? And make Canada pay for it? Trump is finding out it is not an easy problem to solve.

Hey, Ladyboy! Here are some fun facts for you!

Net immigration with Mexico is in the negative! Illegal immigration from Mexico is at a 45 year low! So are border arrests!

https://www.politifact.com/wisconsin...undocumented-/

https://www.bloomberg.com/view/artic...than-you-think

https://www.forbes.com/sites/stuarta.../#1cda5c814b73

But if we listened to RACISTS like you, you'd think ms13, or whoever the fuck they are, are at my doorstep. No, Ladyboy, you just like to pretend that these are big problems, because you like the harsh racist solutions that your racist fascist conservative leaders want to implement.

And here are some more fun facts for you!

https://i.redd.it/08uldfz4b4f11.png

https://www.newsweek.com/right-wing-...-bannon-628381

It's like Trump, I mean Hitler said: "Tell a bigger lie". You are a part of the fascist thrall that "tells the bigger lie". You and the millions of fascist conservatards like you know that all you have to do is all pretend you believe the lie is true, and that's all you need to do to lend the idea efficacy in the marketplace of ideas and further your racist and fascist agendas.
