Trump said on Sunday that he'd saved 1 million American lives through the steps his administration has taken against Covid 19. Actually he said "millions" earlier at the same press conference, but he might have been referring to people outside the USA too. The Waco Kid has made a compelling case here that Trump saved the lives of 330 million Americans, Mount Rushmore should be replaced with a monument to Trump, and Trump should be awarded a Nobel Prize.

That all makes about as much sense as what you've been saying, that Trump has the blood of 46,000 Americans or whatever on his hands. Yeah, it would have been great to have seen a response in the USA like there was in South Korea. But there were a lot of obstacles. The CDC, the FDA, past presidential administrations, our culture, and yes, Trump played a part in it. There's a damning article in the Wall Street Journal today about Alex Azar, the Secretary of Health and Human Services. He told Trump nothing was wrong and prevented the concerns of the experts from being conveyed to him.

We are doing better than some -- look at Europe. Although yes, it would have been great to have seen a response here like in South Korea. And with a more effective federal government we might have come close to that, or at least done a lot better than we're doing now.
