And if you want to let that happen, stop fucking taxing me well over 6 figures a year while helpless kids will be going without the bare necessities to survive.

By the way, I hate to break it to you MAGAs, but Democrats are hardly the only ones on food stamps like your clueless master instructs you to believe.

you aren't getting taxed at "well over 6 figures a year" and you know it.

how much do you give to charity for a tax break?

... Takes just half-a-mo for the Dems to vote to re-open the Government.

And the relief and food credits would continue...

Interesting point there, which just so happens to push up the number of illegal aliens receiving benefits via color of language shenanigans.

That problem manifests in TDS, of course, but asking the wrong question, gives the desired results (numbers). When you say children, try saying household.
You see, the kiddo did not walk into the office to sign-up.

That kiddo is likely considered a "qualified" citizen only via a twisted interpretation of the 14th amendment. In essence, they are "considered", by some twisted and flawed logic, a citizen because the were born here, from parent(s) that are here illegally, i.e. citizens of another country.
Ye olde Plop-n-Drop.

It is the household, i.e. multiple parties, that are receiving the benefit. One other small, tiny even, probably hardly worth mentioning even, thing - Collectively, they are super, double-duper, likely to be receiving many other forms of government assistance from US taxpayers to benefit citizens from other countries.

Funny that! Had it not been for Shmuck Shumer kissing the feet of the Socialist side of his party and shutting down the government, we might not even have looked at how much US taxpayer money was going out the door to citizens of another country.

All of the above 5 pages of acrimonious discussion goes away if the Senate Democrats vote for the continuing resolution and open the government.

Pretty simple I'd say. he ball is on their side of the court.

This isn’t “helping the poor.”

This is rewarding dependency and subsidizing foreign populations who arrived to take, not to build.

43 million people are on food stamps.
80% of SNAP users are also on Medicaid.
61% get two or more additional welfare programs.
And 53.5% of immigrants are on at least one welfare program.

Nearly 45% of Afghans in the U.S. are receiving FREE FOOD from you.

And now - incredibly - we have Somali migrants in America angrily demanding that their HALAL food pantry be restocked.

Not food. HALAL food - a sharia food system funded by the U.S. taxpayer.

Statistics on SNAP Benefits

As of 2025, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) has significant statistics reflecting its reach and importance in tackling food insecurity in the United States. Here are some key figures:
  1. Monthly Participants: Approximately 41.7 million people received SNAP benefits on average each month during fiscal year 2024.
  2. Annual Spending: In 2024, federal spending for SNAP totaled about $99.8 billion, indicating the program's substantial financial commitment.
  3. Average Benefits per Person: The average monthly benefit per participant was around $187.20.
  4. Demographic Distribution:
    • Children: About 39% of participants are children.
    • Elderly Individuals: Approximately 20% are older adults.
    • Disabled Individuals: Nearly 10% are non-elderly individuals with a disability.
  5. Household Structure: 92% of SNAP benefits go to households with incomes at or below the federal poverty line.
  6. Racial and Ethnic Representation:
    • White: 35.4%
    • Black: 25.7%
    • Hispanic: 15.6%
    • Asian: 3.9%
    • Native American: 1.3%
    • Unknown: 17%
Non-Citizen Participation

Approximately 4% of SNAP recipients in 2022 were non-citizens. However, it is important to note that many non-citizens, particularly those without lawful status, are ineligible for SNAP benefits. In contrast, recipients like lawful permanent residents have specific eligibility guidelines.
Eligibility for Illegal Aliens

Under current laws, illegal aliens are not eligible to receive SNAP benefits. The legal basis for this eligibility restriction is primarily rooted in the Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA).
Relevant Regulations

  • PRWORA, Section 403 excludes unauthorized immigrants from receiving federal public benefits, including SNAP.
  • Recent changes by the One Big Beautiful Bill Act of 2025 further enforced restrictions, affirming that only specific categories of immigrants are eligible.
Eligible Categories for SNAP

  1. U.S. Citizens
  2. Lawful Permanent Residents: Some must wait five years.
  3. Refugees and Asylees: Generally do not have to wait.
  4. Children under 18.
  5. Certain entrants from Cuba or Haiti.
  6. Citizens of COFA Nations (Micronesia, Palau, or the Marshall Islands).
Conclusion

In summary, illegal aliens are not entitled to SNAP benefits, and only certain non-citizens may qualify under specific conditions. Statistics indicate that the program plays a critical role in supporting millions of Americans, particularly those in vulnerable demographics - 6 of the top 10 are southern red states, remember?

You spend less than 25/week on food?? And now the "target" isn't illegal aliens, but broadened to just "immigrants". You do realize if you're anything other than 100% Native American you're an immigrant decendent, don't you.

Here are some things immigrants have given to American society:
Nikola Tesla Alternating Current (AC) Electricity and Engineering

Albert Einstein Theory of Relativity Physics

Hedy Lamarr Frequency-Hopping Spread Spectrum Telecommunications

George Washington Carver Crop Rotation & Peanut Products Agriculture

Andrew Grove Microprocessor technology Computing

Frederick Banting Insulin Medicine

Gustavus Swift Refrigerated Railcars Transportation/Food Preservation

Elon Musk Electric vehicles (Tesla) and PayPal Automotive and Financial Technology

László Bíró Ballpoint Pen Writing Instruments

Niels Bohr Quantum Theory insights Physics

Jonas Salk Polio Vaccine Medicine

And the big one might have gone differently except for these folks

  1. Leo Szilard:
    • Szilard, an immigrant from Hungary, proposed the idea of a nuclear chain reaction and was instrumental in advocating for research on nuclear fission.
    • He co-authored a letter with Albert Einstein to President Franklin D. Roosevelt in 1939, alerting him to the potential for Germany to develop atomic weapons.
  2. Enrico Fermi:
    • Fermi, originally from Italy, led the team that achieved the first controlled nuclear chain reaction in 1942, a pivotal step in the atomic bomb's development.
  3. J. Robert Oppenheimer:
    • Often referred to as the "father of the atomic bomb," Oppenheimer oversaw the Manhattan Project, which developed the bomb. While he was born in the U.S., his family was of Jewish descent, immigrants fleeing persecution.
  4. Hans Bethe:
    • Bethe, another immigrant from Germany, made significant theoretical contributions to nuclear processes that were essential for the bomb's design.
  5. Edward Teller:
    • Known for his later work on the hydrogen bomb, Teller was also influential in early atomic bomb developments.

The Food Stamp program provided benefits to 1.465 million noncitizens in fiscal year 2022, the latest data available from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA). Another 2.2 million children living with noncitizens were also on Food Stamps.

These nearly 1.5 million noncitizens collected a total of $4.2 billion in Food Stamp benefit payments.

According to the USDA, the noncitizens include “lawful permanent residents, refugees, asylees, those granted a stay of deportation, and undocumented individuals… Undocumented individuals are not eligible to receive SNAP benefits, but may be nonparticipating members of SNAP households.”

California led the way in enrolling noncitizens on Food Stamps, with 273,000 in FY 2022. Florida had 238,000, New York 218,000, Texas 132,000, and Illinois 73,000 noncitizens. In contrast, Delaware, Mississippi, Montana, West Virginia, and Wyoming reported no noncitizens on Food Stamps.

This isn’t “helping the poor.”

I go to the grocery store every week and buy groceries with my own money.

At the beginning of each month, I can see who is a SNAP dependent.

They have 1 or 2 full shopping carts, filled to the brim with steaks, chops, ton of junk food like chips cookies sodas candies energy drinks.

Also lobsters, entire rack of ribs.

Even I don't buy lobsters.

The only time I buy entire rack of ribs is when it's on sale like Labor Day, July 4th, Memorial Day.

I do buy steaks but only when it's on sale and in the past months with the rising price of beef, I haven't purchased any steaks.

Then you follow these folks with full shopping carts and they have a new or newer SUV outside with all the extra after market gadgets.

Many of these folks have $200 eyelashes, the latest iPhone, $1000 worth of hair threads and extensions, ton of tattoos, all that stuff cost money.

But I see them on Tik Tok complaining how will they feed their family now that criminal Trump took away their SNAP.

Then I see the family in the background in these Tik Tok videos and it's 5 to 7 and in a few videos I have seen, even as many as 10 kids.

They are just having kids so they can get more SNAP and WIC and TANF.

The more kids you have the higher the monthly dollar amount of government assistance you will receive.

All these SNAP, WIC and TANF are suppose to be temporary but somehow these folks are able to beat the system and be on it for decades or entire lifetime.

I read articles online of folks that were receiving those programs and they passed and somehow their children or some relative who is not part of the IMMEDIATE FAMILY was able to continue to collect their benefits and even renewing it over and over.

Remember that BIG BEAUTIFUL BILL that was passed and signed into law earlier this year?

It put stricter control on all these welfare programs, how long you can be on it and impose new stricter work requirements and remove anyone who is not a legal US resident or Citizen from receiving those programs benefits.

You now have to work a minimum number of weekly hours to get the benefits.

If these people are worried now about not getting SNAP during the shutdown for November, they are in for a rude awakening when the new laws goes into effect in 2026 and 2027.

Of course some Democrat Liberal Federal Judge somewhere will rule that those new laws are discriminating and disproportionaly targeting brown and blacks and illegal aliens and block those laws.

How many more times and ways are you going to say this? We get it. You blame the Dems, expect them to give up the tiny bit of leverage that they have to force the GOP to do something that they could do easily: pass an extension of the CARE act tax subsidies. Talk by the GOP that they will do this is cheap. And the Dems have ZERO reason to take them at their word.
