Don't forget that you must pay Use Tax on anything you bought from another state.

Try listing sessions as personal trainers. A nice health care benefit for the owner.

too funny.... back in the late 80's the father of one of my friends (now COO with a well know intimate and female personal care firm), got caught up in a large racketeering scandal involving the mayor of a well know east coast city and the payment of kickbacks through intermediaries, all for campaign funds, because one of the participants, an architect who got no-bid contracts to design schools for the city, decided to claim the bribes he paid as tax deductions...(they were, I kid you not, paid in gold coins and delivered on the golf course by the exchange of golf club bags)....he ended up wearing a wire and turning on all the participants.... they all ended up in Allenwood Federal Penitentiary....

I am sure a provider can deduct the cost of the physical location of her 'office.'

Clients are in a more difficult spot, of course. So a medical deduction was nixed. Damn. Perhaps I should try an education deduction... She has provided quite an education!

More seriously, does anyone worry at all about the push to have more cash transactions covered by 1099 paperwork? That would certainly change the hobby ... paper trails and lost anonymity.

I just have to tell you davidsmith.....that avatar of yours just gave me a good laugh. What a way to start my day.....lol (inside joke everybody, sorry).

And yes, a provider can deduct almost every expense she has when it comes to this business. I'm a bit of a pro when it comes to the tax end of this.

Alisha ....xoxo

I've deducted travel expenses, cell phone and past pager expenses, and everything else pertaining to business.

Those are realistic. I think it's the guys that are complaining.

Maybe 1 session a month can be written into the next health care proposal. Ladies, contact your congressmen who are regulars. I know there are some.
