Well, Golds Gym rates fitness based on how many of those exersices one can do. Since you referenced Golds standards, I thought that was what you were referring too. So I guess you're doing a low weight, high rep weight routine. A long with super setting floor/core excersices? And Cycling for cardio? What kind of bike do you have?

[QUOTE=bambino;1058518575 I suspect your fitness is bullshit as well. How many crunches, push ups, pull ups and squats can you do? Make sure you check the correct sources. Golds Gym measures 0 to 98%. So you can't be in the top 1%.[/QUOTE]
First, the Gold's Gym fitness test does not cover people in my age category (70+) , so a little guesswork had to be done by the fitness trainer who tested me. You are correct in that the maximum for a given test is 98%.
So here were my results for the 5 activities included in the test, with 98 score for 60-69 year olds which is the highest age group they go:
20 push-ups gives you a score of 98% -- I did 30 before I was stopped.
10 pull-ups gives you a score of 98% -- I did 8 (definitely my weak point) for a score of 93%
50 squats in 2 minutes gives you a score of 98% -- I did something like 70 before I was stopped. Having been a runner and a cyclist for 50 years gave me more than a slight advantage here. Score 98%.
80 crunches in 1 minute gives you a score of 98% -- I hit this for a score of 98%.
80 heart rate after 3 minutes on a 12" stair step -- Again, this was no contest for me since my resting heart rate is as low as 46 when at total rest, and about 55 at normal rest. Score of 98%.
Fitness trainer said in his opinion I was in the top 1% of men nationwide and by far the top scorer he had ever seen in my age group, which probably was not many to be honest. Not many people my age crazy enough to work so hard at physical fitness.
As I said, if you or anyone else thinks I am lying and would like to come to Gold's Gym to work out with me for an hour, I will pay the entrance fee.

My bike is a Giant TCR A1 road bike with many upgraded parts. Also have a Giant trail bike which I don't use too often. And a spin bike upstairs for inclement weather days. To me, cardio surpasses weights as the best tool for overall health benefits.
My weight routine is definitely not low weight high rep. I do 2 sets of 12 reps (3 sets on some exercises) at a weight at which my muscles are fatigued upon completion. When you talk weight on a specific machine, I find it difficult to rate weight totals. To me, they are heavy.
"Super setting floor/core exercises"? I am certainly familiar with core exercises and I admittedly do not do them as much as I should. The other term I am unfamiliar with.

If you do everything that you say, especially pedaling 120 miles a week @ 16 mph, you are a very fit 70yr old. Some free advice, don't go picking fights with guys younger than you. It might not work out so well.

Thanks. Now I'm working on my diet, which to put it mildly, has not been the healthiest. Cutting out ice cream, cookies, pie, potato chips and cutting down on other carbs. I hate it.
The only person I have come close to picking a fight with is LexusLiar who is very close to my age. And that is only after his ridiculous name-calling. Sometimes I find it hard to turn the other cheek, but I appreciate the advice.

Just warning you, Speedy. I'm younger than you. You pick a fight with me, you'll get the scare of your life. Because you'll probably kill me. So, I like you Speedy, I always have! (Is he smiling?)

I really like you COG. We have had a handful of differences over time but I always respected your opinion. You keep it real.
Now about this Trump guy you're planning to vote for . . .

Bambino: You must be familiar with the old saying.
"You can take a horse to water, but you can't make it drink."
If he knows so much about me, he can find me. He won't, but if he happens to be that stupid I will have advance notice of his intentions. Further stupidity. His choice. I don't give a shit.

As I've said, I've grown tired of arguing with people like you. So feel free to belittle others as you see fit. You obviously give a shit about me because you bring me up in over half the posts you make, whether relevant or not.
At the end of the day, we have to sleep in the bed we've made for ourselves. You are an angry old man who feels a need to take out his frustrations on others on a hooker board.
GAME, SET, AND MATCH.

And the only way you can "win" is call your own game!
But simple-minded little chicken shits do that all over the internet.
Enjoy your fluffing.

If one has ever done a study of Psychopathy, the message is quite clear, Hillary displays all the the symptoms of a malevolent psychopath, yes a bit redundant, but lets face it, the redundancy of evil these two have /will bring to this country is enormous. Enormous in the fact that America as we have known it will no longer exist. Saul Alinsky's/George Soros America will be here.
A lot of symptoms in the links of the article below, are apparent on the surface of this woman but the most sinister of all is her deficiency of empathy for anyone who might cross her path.
