This is in line with what I was starting to wonder. If a guy is supported by his SO in a job other than as a provider is he still the equivalent of a pimp? If not why? Unless you are saying that the job of being a provider is wrong there is no difference.
I define a pimp as more of a parasite that lives off of the provider without providing any value in return. I could see scenarios where the provider is the primary income earner but the SO provides support and income in other ways. That scenario would not fall into the pimp catagory.
I am not sure I could have a relationship like that but since I have never tried I would not say no. Either way I would not criticize someone that was in such a relationship as long as they were not a parasite.

If a guy is sending out his SO to bring home the bacon, while he eats Cheetos, drinks beer and watches porn? Ya, he's a pimp more commonly identified as a parasite. Hey if the shoe fits....

I have to agree with you there!!! And a man who "brings home the bacon", takes care of his SO and family, both financially and through emotional support.....no matter what line of work she chooses.....can not be classified as the same.

I do agree knowingly sharing someone you truely care about would be hard to do.

It would be no different than being in an open or plural relationship which I have done and am doing now. its just sex. ppl confuse love and sex all the time they aren't synonymous.I can love my and have sex with other women just like she can love me and have sex with other men. I believe that as long as you are completly honest with your mate. and set certain boundaries of sexual acts that will only be ferformed between each other..ie something that is special to your relationship all is possible
On the second subject I could never in any circumstance allow my self to be supported by any woman
and not sure I could even be in a relationship with a woman that made more money than I do thank gawd I make a lot money ..lmao, you know just sounds wrong when I put it like that but my ego wouldn't allow it lol so i'm sexually liberal & a financial caveman

Impossible for some! I've NEVER been good at sharing! Materialistically I'm good, but with the most important thing in my life? The person that is the most significant and intimately important part of my life? I don't think so!

Confession time.... and I don't care if you disagree.
Uh I would not share my SO with anyone.
I have tried dating and escorting and it was very difficult for the guy I was with at the time.
What also puzzles me is the ladies that do this and DON'T tell their husbands. I think it's fucking disgusting for one to open another human being to possible diseases and not at least tell him! - Ok that's another thread...
I have always thought the swinger/open relationship shit is bullshit. Kudos to those that are able to indulge in that sort of lifestyle but for me? no. hell no. never. I was told by a guy that that is how men/women convince their spouse to let them cheat and not feel guilty about it. --- I can see that.
I once had a threesome with my ex and .. I did not like it. Hell he did not like it. It became a forbidden topic after the deed was done.
No I'm not being hypocritical. At the end of the day, this is my job, not my lifestyle. I do not fuck married men in my personal life nor do I even want to for the same reasons why some of you choose to go this route rather than have a fuck buddy on the side.
I am a softie I guess/ a hopeless romantic. I truly believe in monogamy and the "fairy tale"/Story book Cinderella ending. Bite me.
That would be MY happiness. If others are happy watching their SO fuck/and carry relationship with others - so be it. We can't all be the same. It would be a weird world if we all were.

Honey, you left off about 3 more sentences that sum up that definition lol. I am not out judging women who are hookers acting as if I don't do it myself...that is a hypocrite! I don't sit with my friends bashing escorts while secretly doing it...that again is a hypocrite. I am merely torn from 2 sides of my life is all. One side wants a good, clean, normal life, while the other takes part in one thing that does not line up.
I guess by your estimation all hookers should curse like sailors and dress like strippers? Just because one part of my life contradicts the big picture does not make me a hypocrite...I am not preaching against what I do and putting down anyone for doing it. I guess I should stop feeding hungry children every month and giving 10 percent to the church too if that's the case. Why am I not allowed to have more good in my life than bad?
The only sense I am one, would be if my child wanted to do this one day and I talked her out of it. If that makes me a hypocrite, I can live with that.

Ok when did this turn into a pimp thread? I am sorry, but just because a guy is dating a provider does not make him a pimp...UNLESS he is in fact promoting her, telling guys in the hobby to go see her, how supposedly good she is, on and on. That is still not exactly pimping if he is not getting any of the money, but I do think I would feel like nothing but a dish rag if a guy I was dating did that to me.
If a guy has a GF who does this and he has a job, he is not her pimp. A pimp is PAID a percent of what the escort makes. 2 people sharing bills and both doing their part, is not what I would consider a pimped situation, but that's just me.

This is sadly a world in which people do what they must to earn a living. I have met many ladies that would be very good in other professions if given the opportunity. These ladies would be successful because they are honest, smart, loyal, and hardworking. If there was a way to harness this workforce, the world would be a better place. Thank You ladies for your time, kindness, and loving you give us.
The Provider that spends time with you today may be the Doctor who saves your life, the teacher who teaches your kid, or the lawyer who gets you out of jail. It CAN happen1
Thanks Again LADIES for all you do!
