It's a roundabout way of negating a recent court ruling essentially legalizing prostitution. The Court ruling didn't say anything about making it illegal to communicate for the purposes of prostitution. so this is the way lawmakers decided to deal with it. From reading the Canadian boards, It is currently tabled and won't be voted on for a few months, if at all. Some believe it's just election year politics. Most believe if is passed it will be challenged in court and overturned. Some wonder, if it is enacted, whether LE will make it a priority and enforcement will be jurisdiction dependent. It does have to potential to throw a monkey wrench into things over there, at least temporarily, if it is enacted. From reading the boards, the woman could take your cash, kick you out and you couldn't do a thing because you would be incriminating yourself while the woman's end of the transaction was legal. Jokacz or ceslo probably have more info or a better understanding of things.

Why did you cut out Jokacz from the snipet you took from my original post? Ceslo and Jokacz ,I think they know the canadian scene as well as anyone on here. There maybe others, but those 2 came to mind.I didn't check the posts in this thread, but Ceslo routinely chimes in on other threads when people have questions and his advice is usually good.
