Obama to BAN the Phrase ‘Convicted Criminal’ — Get Ready to Say THIS Instead

Item #187 of how the Left manipulates everything it touches to facilitate their agenda, regardless of whether it actually helps: No longer are we using the term “convicted criminals”. Apparently, it’s harmful for these delicate little snowflakes who are the real victims of their crimes. Instead, according Breitbart these felons “justice-involved” criminals individuals are getting help from the Department of Justice to avoid the consequences of their crimes with this very intentional identity makeover.
Breitbart reports that the DOJ is all over shoving this idiom down everyone’s throats in order to enable criminals to obtain jobs and housing once they’re out of prison. Along with the new preferred term, the DOJ is piling $1.75 million of taxpayer money to social organizations that support such programs. As Attorney General Loretta Lynch put it, “by helping justice-involved youth find decent jobs and stable housing after they return home, these critical grants provide a foundation for a fresh start and offer a path towards productivity and purpose.”
Notionally, it seems perfectly reasonable that people who made a mistake in the past would simply like the chance to rebuild their life the right way. I’ve got no objection to that, in principle. Unfortunately, that’s not really what’s going on here. Let me break it down:
