I think what you are overlooking is this - you don't really want trumpy to walk back any of the outrageous things he says, because that makes it harder for you to sustain your own seething sense of outrage.

Nobody is giving trump a pass. The MSM hinges on his every word, always ready to pounce and react with renewed outrage. What you're missing is the fact that the reaction to trump is often more unhinged than anything he says in the first place. Normal people then ask - why do these idiots go completely berserk every time trump trolls them on Truth Social? The short answer is TDS.

YOU are giving trump a pass. So is every other MAGA. He actively called for the execution of 6 Democrats. And because he "walked it back" on social media, it's all good with you.

I find it interesting that threatening the life of a public official is illegal but the President calling for people to be executed for treason is not.
