When I first started to learn this hobby, and yes, there's a lot to learn about it, I was so excited when I worked my way up to p411 and a few other sites to show that,yes, i'm serious about this hobby. I was so disappointed when traveling provider,after traveling provider, that I would contact, they would look at my profile, and either I wouldn't get a response, or a short, very curt response, "I don't see black guys". Initially, I was very upset about this, you see, i've worked very hard to establish myself and my reputation. The thing that bothered me most was the fact that it was such a blanket statement. But now, things have gotten better for me, thanks to a few very nice, and non judgmental providers that did agree to see me, and actually helped me to see ladies that were a little concerned about seeing men of color. And I found that most of the ladies had their own reasons for their NBA policies, very few actually had to do with race. Any provider that sees me can attest to the fact that I try to be most respectful to the ladies, yes, I love the way a woman's body feels against mine, so I will spend the bulk of my encounter actually with you, but hey, that's the purpose right. I strive to be on time, have the correct fee, spend my time, and leave, all within the framework of our agreed upon arrangement. If a provider doesn't want to see me because of my race, hey, just like they say, it's our lost, I say it's theirs as well, good clients are just that, good clients. MY .02 worth. BBT in Tenn.

The more I read this the sillier I think this thread is. Being a BBW, can't tell you how many times we get made fun of on this board. It is even acceptable to think we are nasty,lazy,don't take care of ourselves,are whales,ect. this has turned into "real world issues" not just a hobby issue. heck, true colors....be real is all i ask. prejudice and racism is alive and open yet transparent. We live in a society to fake it until we get what and where we want to be. So lets be real with these statistics since it was brought up. There are lots of white crimes that are not reported because of our racial flaws in the judicial system. And don't tell me otherwise unless you have walked in another race's shoes.

How many get pulled over just for being wrong race? It is unfortunate but one should base lifes decision on a mishap. Sure there are thugs, punks, pimps, but to make it sound like they are 99% black is ridiculous. If your not attracted to a particular race, so be it. Let that be the excuse vs. something lame and a occupational hazard.

Whatever your reason is, fine, stick with it but damn...we should keep it to ourselves. Many of us can read "between the lines". This is catching a lot of attention all over race. Really? Come on....when will this BS end?

A lot has been said, and this very long thread began mostly because one chose to make generalizations, and some, if not many, are offended by generalizations that create negative connotations.

Most of us react based on our experiences. For example, for many years I only bought new black vehicles. Black vehicles are beautiful, but only when a lot of time is spent to keep them meticulously clean. Now I only buy platinum or beige vehicles, not because I don't like black vehicles, but because my experience is that black vehicles take more care.

The above is a rather simple analogy....in that people make decisions based on what works for them. I do realize that vehicles and people are different....and an analogy of vehicle colors does not correlate completely with the colors of people. There will always be dislikes of people, and objects, based on experiences, and sometimes on prejudices. Some prejudices are well founded....and some are not. And, again....what people have experienced....will justify prejudices for some....while others will adapt prejudices based on their environment. A lot has been written....and some of what is written has been enlightening....but I project little has been accomplished towards changing the opinion of anyone.

I agree that everyone has the right to choose, whether that person is a provider or a hobbiest. Now....the hobbiest and provider also have a right to accept or decline. Whether the agreement for a hobbiest and provider to see each other makes sense to onlookers, the right of choice remains absolute for those involved (barring undo influence from third parties). Ultimately there are enough hobbiests and enough providers that the choices we each make, respectively, do not have a great adverse effect on one's ability to earn income (from the provider's perspective) or to enjoy sexual experiences (from the hobbiest's and the provider's perspective).

I read everything to date....and am pleased to note....that the overall tenor of the posts was respectful, which is something this southern gentleman tries also to emulate.

This issue is actually more complex than most people understand, AA or not.
Only about 1% of the NBA policy is actually about race, the other 99% of NBA policies are simply about etiquette (it means manners for the uniformed) or the lack there of. Displaying proper etiquette projects to the observer education, maturity, politeness, tolerance, social grace as well as an underlying ethical code which usually translates into "non or minimal threat". The word etiquette originates from the European country of France. However, it is not only the French who pride themselves on etiquette, it is a European way of life. This culture was then brought to North America by the same European colonists whose "white" ancestors penned the Declaration of Independence in 1776. This means that etiquette, albeit not as profound as it is in Europe, is still a cornerstone of European-American (white people) culture. This is so ingrained in EA (European-American) ancestry that it's almost second nature regardless of class or social status. This is just not the case for AA. Having nearly 240 years of slavery in your history means a 240yr head start for EA which subsequently means that AA have to work 3 times as hard in virtually every facet of life (except sports) to equal their white counter-parts. Not saying that AA are not taught etiquette because most are, just not the European etiquette that is so very-fucking important in a predominately European-American country. So when it comes to just surviving, let's just say that European etiquette doesn't get you very far in the hood.

Now when it comes to prostitutes, hookers, escorts, providers, courtiers or PFP, the subject is going to point out even more cultural differences between AA and other cultures. In most of Europe, prostitution is legal but pimping is not. In fact in many cultures the commission of prostitutes is a sign of social status. European courtiers were important in aristocratic societies and it was an acceptable custom for royal couples marrying purely to preserve bloodlines and or create political alliances. The word Favor derives from the French word "favourite" which literally means the preferred intimate companion of a ruler. Even the Roman Catholic Church tolerated prostitution in the belief that it was the lesser of the greater evils of rape, sodomy, and masturbation. This belief holds true to this day when you observe that the fact that South Africa and Seychelles (both African countries) take the No. 1 & 2 spots with the more rapes per capita than all (65 countries that have a population of at least 1 million) combined.

In the US prostitution was legal up until about 1915 but was outlawed in one fell swoop with prohibition, however is still legal in two states (Nevada and Rhode Island). So the appreciation for "whores" is still prevalent in EA culture as well. Just look at how EA treat their own when popped for hookers, "Pretty Woman" launched both Richard Gere & Julia Roberts careers and was one of the most financially successful romantic comedies ever grossing over $460 million. Charlie Sheen and Heidi Fleiss have had their fair share of fame as well. I said all this to bring to my next point. AA culture was not cultivated to appreciate courtiers or hookers. I mean if you think it's hard for an AA to pay for a piece of ass now, just imagine trying to proposition that hot blond that reminds you so much of Valerie International in 1915.

Now I usually do not weigh in on any type of comment sections, social discussion boards, forums because quite frankly it's more entertaining to read others opinions and views as they are not as bound by reserve as I am. However, because I did get my feelings stepped on by one of those super hot providers who had an NBA policy I will make an exception. I am not AA but I do consider myself black, so for us black and AA gents out there who appreciate and understand the important role that providers play in american society and culture, and are conscious of the fact that they are women FIRST, I say cheers and lets put some thought into providing providers with an alternative method of screening us brothers, it's just one of those working 3 times as much things. For the providers, adding a few personal background questions to your screening process will help as well i.e. where did you grow up, were your parents divorced, how many children you have, do you like animals, ect. Reading his reviews should be a no brainer. Petitioning for sub forum for discussions on verified brothers wouldn't hurt either. Lastly, get out more, meet and greet some of these guys on the boards when you're invited so you can get a sense of what each hobbiest is like in social settings.
