Anyone watching season 2 of Stranger Things? I'm just about to get started on it. Loved all the 80s callbacks and nostalgia in season 1, and it's an interesting story. I'm hoping the sophomore season lives up to the strong start of last season.

I'm digging Ash vs. Evil Dead on Netflix. Fun show if you're into that sort of thing.

Considering how much I love Army of Darkness (and Bruce Campbell generally) I should put that on my watch list. Thanks for the pointer.

Cheers,

I just got through with Stan Against Evil on IFC. It has some Army of Darkness flavor to it. The main actor John C. McGinley from scrubs or the gay cop from Wild Hogs, does a great job in the role. It is hilarious.

New on the list is
The Orville
Rick and Morty

Second season of Stranger Things is good, ready for season 3

I got sucked into The Orville thinking (from the pre-premiere publicity) that it was going to be Family Guy mashed up with Star Trek: The Next Generation. That said, I was delighted to get what seemed to me an honest Star Trek homage with a bit more humor than you get from your average sci-fi series. I was a bit disappointed in several episodes (including the season finale, which struck me as a bit weak), but overall I'm pleasantly surprised it got a renewal for a second season, and I'm hoping things improve in Season 2.

Cheers,

bcg

Yeah I see it now. Not sure what was up earlier. I'm on continuous cold medicine so probably just overlooked it in my stupor.

Starting on Better Call Saul on Netflix. Not my usual kind of show but I liked Breaking Bad so it's worth a shot. Pretty good so far.

I watch mostly investigation discovery shows on channel 285 direct TV,I'm always amazed and horrified by the trechery and depravity humans are capable of.It keeps me on my toes, not to let my guard down,a smile is just a frown upside down.

The new season of Black Mirror is as dark as ever. Loved it. USS Callister was the standout episode for me.

I love that show! Not a single bad episode I can think of. Crocodile was dark AF! Didn't think they would top shut up and dance in terms of darkness, but they took it up a notch.

Fun fact: the voice at the end of USS Callister is Aaron Paul aka Jesse from Breaking Bad.
