Win -- win! MAGA! The Saudis cut production. The U.S. benefits by increasing its market share as a net oil exporter.

I'll take Bloomberg's analysis cited in the OP over yours every fucking day of the week.

That is not the US....that would be oil companies .

You seem to be confused on how the market works and who owns the companies. The state , unlike in many countries , does not own our oil companies.

The U.S. collects taxes and the oil company employees in this country are Americans; so, being a net oil exporter has its benies.

Which is it IB....are you cheering for low oil prices that would hurt oil production in this country like you were for the last two weeks or are you now cheering for high oil prices that hurt the average consumer?

You seem to be marching back and forth.....Trump is still crying for the Saudis and Russians to increase output and depress prices.

Are you actually claiming that U.S. oil companies pay no taxes in this country and employ no American workers in this country? Is that really your stance? That's what you're hanging your intellectual reputation on?

The U.S. just became a net oil exporter which means the U.S. will continue to benefit from increased jobs and sales and tax revenue. Only a true idiot would argue otherwise.

You've never explained the equivocation in the positions you are advocating.

I've explained to you in both threads what is really happening....I pointed out that low oil prices hurt oil companies in this country.

Low oil prices used to really help this country but not so much as it used to because we now produce so much oil.

If you were to do any research , you'd know that.

I've asked you to explain how you can be giving Trump and the Saudis credit when there are so many other factors tied into the price of oil?

In a free enterprise market, an increase in volume sales can offset manageable losses in per unit sales. So, it's a boon to be a net oil exporter even when prices are relatively low.

A cursory review of your post and I know you are off topic again as you again try to hi-jack another thread. Nothing in your post deals with the OP about the U.S. becoming a net oil exporter for the first time since Truman.

BTW, Trump was president when that happened.

Do you think that having the United States dictate whether Iran can sell their oil is a free market?

And it is not a boon if the price is to low!

Damn...
