I suggest 2 things.. reschedule and ABeautifulsite, look into getting one of those suction cup mounted GPS's (figure about 100 for a decent screen size) which helps.. and this is coming from a native of Houston of 49 years..

although this site is about "companionship" there is a certain amount of tech involved... like another site that deals in fetishes and stuff I won't go into here.. there is a set level of tech that is involved.

AbeautifulSite you need a smartphone. For $50 damn dollars a month, you'd have internet access and a GPS Navigator. Add to that a NotePad, Calendar, Calculator, digital music player, video game player, Camera..... Everything a small business person needs. Get an IPhone 5 or a Galaxy S. Make sure to get a case.

And 59S is the southwest freeway.

What you say is certainly true, but to show how confusing our freeways can be most map sources refer to many of the addresses on 59 South as being on one side of Highway 59 as far north as Cleveland, Shepherd and Livingston.

For the out if towners as OOB started, going clockwise.

I-10 west is Katy Frwy
290 is Northwest Frwy
249 is Tomball Parkway
I-45 north of town is North Frwy
I-59 north is the East Tex Frwy
I-10 east is the usually just I-10 east, used to be Beaumont highway
I-45 South is the Gulf Frwy
I-59 south is the Southwest Frwy.

This is not unlike the code for fees so I don't expect people to adapt but the names do help avoid confusion. And don't even try the west coast habit of calling freeways "The #"
