As long as it isn't strawberry-based, doesn't make my indoor plants swoon, won't make my eyes tear, takes a licking and keeps me ticking, I'm okay with most colognes and after-shaves.

However, I did once meet a gentleman from overseas who had on a very unpleasant oily-spicy bottled scent, tolerable until my nose and tongue descended and found he had slathered it ALL over. Awful taste, literally made me ill, started a sinus attack, I couldn't breathe, couldn't do what he most craved, and I ended up cutting the session short and giving him most of his money back. I was nauseous for the rest of the day, and it took another day before my sneezing and runny eyes subsided.

Now if someone walks in and my nose even twitches, we both go into the shower for a fun, but thorough, scrub.

Just fyi for those that like to be in the know. Colgne and perfumes along with some cosmestics for women use whale vomit as a key ingredient. Apparently as it "oxidizes" over time with salt water and sunlight it goes from smelling like shit to smelling like sweet apple pie. Lol

Ambergris (sperm whale vomit) has a musk like smell and is used in cologne and perfume. Also pretty good shaved like truffles and served in eggs. Whale blubber is in lipsticks.
