No shit. I was on foot a couple weeks ago in Kenmore and my phone died. I was in a very commercial place but no pay-phones. I went into a phone store, they didn't even still have chargers for an iphone4, neither did anyone in the coffee-shop. Luckily, I found a working tablet in the store to text my ride. I'd feel weird asking someone to use their phone, but someone would've. I'm clean cut. Didn't want to ask for bus fare!

Thus I bought an iphone6.

What if you don't have a cell phone to activate the tracphone? Seriously, what about some poor unemployed person that only has a tracphone? How do they activate it if they don't have another phone? Or can they be activated with ID, which would be bad of course. I've never had a hobby phone, but I want one. That's what really stops me from hobbying. I don't want a lot of these business women having my real number.

You don't have to have another phone in order to activate a trac phone. You can activate it from any public pay phone. When activating the phone the automated system will ask some personal questions(home phone, zip code), don't answer them, the automated system will eventually skip over them.

Believe TracFones are the cheapest and usually go on sale for 5 bucks. An SP recently said she picked one up at a Dollar Store for 2.99. You just pay for minutes you need. Good for call and text.
