Yep. I always keep lube handy, and bring my own covers. Some of these ladies will just grab a pack from any corner store while getting gas and a soda.
Dallas has a million condom stores all over the place (Condom Sense, Condoms To Go). These are the mecca of condoms, and they're NOT expensive. A 12-pack of Crowns might be like 14 bucks. Kimono's are pretty good, albeit not that big (they're made by Japanese, so, there you go), but they do make larger versions, which work well for average guys. 10 to 12 bucks. Shit, you're buying a 3-pack from the corner store for $4.99, some of you. Do the math. 3 blocks down the road, you can get more for less. More and better, for less.
Get some lube, too. WATER BASED LUBE. This means it's not eating away at the condom that you suck the lube off of (if you're a CBJ'er). Astroglide is badass. A couple of drops will save you 18 years of car payments (otherwise knowns as child support) and/or worry of catching something.
I like smooth friction when I'm doing the do. When I feel that drag feeling, I get worried. There tends to be more lubrication when it's skin on skin. This is one way to tell when it's bare, because it will SUDDENLY start feeling super good (not condoning bb, btw). With condoms, sometimes there's a drag, even though to her her pussy may be 'wet'. I just don't like that feeling and want to lube up when I do feel it.
There's nothing wrong with being cautious and prepared. If you feel inclined to lube up, you probably should...if either person does.
