I'm watching.

I have to hand it to Anderson Cooper, he's doing a credible job.

I predict that Bigkotex is drunk posting and will not see the $500 he falsely claims COG owes him.

And he will have a Boeing 7"7"7" up his ass at next Thursday's Austin Reacharound Crew meeting.

"Carry on!"

Yup, I watched it. Had a few good belly laughs. Had a few moments when I wanted to puke. Down to the last one, they all pretty much looked like idiots. I was very interested in Jim Webb, out of the entire field (if it can even be called that), he is the one candidate I thought I might actually be able to bring myself to vote for if the GOP nominates a candidate that I absolutely can't support. However, a couple of his answers just totally lost me.

Props to Anderson Cooper though, he did a pretty good job of moderating, and he did a pretty decent job of asking some tough questions.

It's over.

Most of the Democrat ideas expounded by these candidates are pie in the sky. It all comes down to "we will take more from "them" and give it to you". That might sound good, until you start to define just who "them" are.

Do you work hard, work lot's of hours, sacrifice, invest wisely, pay your own way, and pay your taxes? You just might be one of "them".

"them" is defined as anyone but "them" i.e. the politicians meaning everyone else.

How is it worse than the trickle-down bullshit that we know doesn't work?

I see you've posted that twice....you're wrong you know. It's actually called "supply side" economics and has been around longer than Reagan was in office. It does work. During Reagan's time taxes went down and revenues went up.

Anyway, I was disappointed in Webb. I saw him in person back in the 80s and maybe it was because I knew what he was talking about and it made sense. I have read three or four of his books. He was too stiff and his answers were too technical for your rank and file democrats. It just went over their heads. Hillary sidestepped any real answers on so many things; Russia, Syria, ISIS, Iran, Keystone, etc. I guess you could say that Sanders won because he probably did himself the most good. In fact, I think Sanders was looking for a VP slot. He saved Hillary's ass on Benghazi and the emails. Being VP is kind of like a well paid retirement.

I can't amagine why Webb is a Democrat. Or, at least a Democrat as defined by the other four Candidates on that stage.

It was almost humorous when Webb invoked his Vietnam Service, and his being wounded. Did he actually think that would be a positive in that crowd?

One thing I can say for Bernie Sanders. He did stick to his guns, (pun intended), on 2d Amendment issues. Of course, he knows that the people in Vermont are watching. They put up with his Socialist shit because he understands that there are millions of Americans who do believe the 2d Amendment IS NOT about duck hunting. They know that restrictions on Americans rights generally just end up hurting Law Abiding Citizens and has little affect on the thugs, criminals, and punks.

Saw some recaps.

Looks like 2 hours of political old wives tales told by old wives, income distribution promises and enemy mis-identification.

My favorite was "gun violence" is being caused by the NRA. You could hear all those mothers of criminals cheering.
