It's not a matter of "right" or "wrong" .... I don't know who or what would want more deaths .... and I really don't want to know!
At some point the decision makers are going to have to wake up and smell the coffee, because if they don't their rolls as decision makers will soon be ended....and the sooner the better as far as I am concerned.
Usually the way the "B" movies ended was the "Chief's virgin daughter" got dragged away to the cave for the monsters delightful dessert, and then things got serious. It would be a tough spectacle to view, but I hope that's not what it takes to turn things around and take care of "this business" with a final eradicating blow!
