I still get the old format while using my tablet but the new one comes up on my laptop,maybe mobile version has yet to catch up?

that is how i am logging in now. i go to the mobile site and log in, then click full site to convert. what a pita this is. didn't they test before release?

You can test to death but doesnt mean there are no kinks during a site update, nature of the beast. Websites are finicky.
