This I agree with. I think the reason they do this is to cut down on the already amount of work they have to do to keep up with reviews alone.

I think the ladies should have full access to any and all reviews. Full access acts as a deterrent (hopefully) to a guy posting an erroneous, false or malicious review.
Regarding a provider being able to respond to a review: I think a provider's response to a review needs to be limited to checking off standardized responses such as the following examples:
- Review contains false information
- I never met with this hobbyist
- And others as complied by the moderators
Subsequently, the provider needs to be allowed and required to present evidence to the moderators supporting her standardized response(s). Upon review of the evidence by the moderators, the hobbyist's review will be deleted by the moderators if and when the provider's evidence supports a fallacious review.
The purpose of this type of system is to minimize the drama and cat fights.
One of the problems with reviews is that a small number of gents won't allow for a YMMV experience due to incompatibility. Both parties are individuals and occasionally the two will not be compatible. It's just the way it is and the lady should not receive a negative review because they didn't "click" on a personal or sexual basis. A simple and short statement that they were incompatible is sufficient to address the issue.
Though I've stopped posting reviews due to Illinois HS6462 (also known as End Demand Illinois that targets johns (clients) who are subject to felony charges), I always sent my providers all reviews before I posted them ... especially if the review contained any negative information. While I've had providers request I delete some detailed sexual activities; I never had a provider request I delete any negative information. I always attempted to post balanced reviews. It can't all be bad. I was always diligent about posting positive aspects in a review that contained any negatives. In the vast majority of cases, these ladies work diligently to satisfy their clients.
In a related issue, I wish there was a way to know what the ladies were posting about particular hobbyists, as well.

Makes sense to me to allow ladies to read reviews written about them. It also makes sense to me that comments by the ladies about clients (without real life identifying information) be readable by those clients. But both tend to be blocked from view, either in the ROS of the review or by posting to private areas (Men's Lounge, Powder Room, or whatever they're called).
The primary theory for restricted access has always been that fear of retribution would make people reluctant to share honest opinions. By reducing the chance for that, you (hopefully) increase the amount of valuable information shared. But I think the fear of retribution is overblown. As pointed out above, WK reviews don't seem to be a bigger problem on other boards than they are here -- perhaps because everyone assumes that the information will get out one way or another anyway.
And allowing access to the information does have benefits.

Additionally, if he writes something that did not occur or reveals private info about me (or himself, I had to ask one gentleman to edit out his OWN personal info, bless his heart), I NEED to know about that so others reading it don't get the wrong impression/stalking material.
On other boards -- TER for example -- on which ladies can see the full content of their own reviews, the WK reviews you posit aren't an issue. I've read plenty that were so-so and many that were less than ass-kissin'. I haven't seen an increased amount of drama on BestGFE because ladies can also comment on their reviews (although I don't frequent the site often, so it may well be that I'm just not around to see it).

Probably both sides should have access to comments about them, but there is more at risk for the ladies in terms of lost business. So I wouldn't object to letting them read reviews while still restricting access to comments about clients. In any event, I don't mind a lady whom I review reading it. (Of course, I rarely write reviews.) If she asks, I'll probably share it with her myself. If she's unhappy about some aspects of the review -- and some certainly have been -- well, let her blow off steam in an email or PM to me, or post a rebuttal, or post her opinion of me. How many of the guys here are such wimps that they'll be upset by a little blowback? I'm a big boy; I can take a little criticism.

I think we should for the mere fact when someone says " I saw your reviews and saw you liked to (fill in the blank) and it never happened

I think it's ludicrous that a provider can't read what I wrote about them in a review. Anything I'm going to put in the review I will have already told her at the end of the session.
Fortunately, I have yet to have a bad experience. I've had one not so great, but she already knows that.

I actually prefer not being able to see mine, lol. Besides, there are enough people who know what I would normally do or not do. If someone starts claiming certain things took place, most will know that it's fabricated. It's a moot point for me. All I care about is the "Yes" !

I tend to think that if a provider posted comments like that, her phone would slow down on the ringing..
I have ROS access because I wrote an honest review. Should ladies be allowed to read ROS?
Having seen some threads turn into long banters going back and forth...I just don't know

Correct me, but I thought you could not read your FULL TER reviews. I used to be aware of several ladies with alternate handles that paid for ROS access there.

They didn't know any better. Once you are a verified provider on TER you can read your own reviews (The juicy details as well).

Well in your case why would you write a review? You said you never paid for it, so what is to review?

Just because I haven't "paid for it" doesn't mean I've never been with a provider....lol I was in the industry for many years.

There was extensive discussion of this issue in Dec. 1999 and early 2000 when ASPD was born. I was in favor of it then and am still in favor of it. At least two reasons leap to mind.
First, it insures to some degree that the review in question is accurate. A provider can't have a chance to respond to blatantly false or malicious comments unless she knows what is said. If you hang around these hobby boards for very long, you will see that some people are here with an agenda. Sometimes that agenda is to harass somebody, or to damage their reputation of business. Granting complete anonymity, or hiding their comments from the providers, would just encourage that sort of behavior.
The second reason, and one that is obviously less important, but still shouldn't be overlooked, is that access to ROS give providers a chance to learn and improve their services. Reading their own reviews can let them see what guys like (or dislike). (Think how nice it would be if your SO could do that!) And reading the reviews of other providers, especially those who are well reviewed, can help them improve their service by comparison (at least where they are educable.) And better service is in everyone's best interest.
