You'd think that "due process" would require that the party banned should be told why, but it's not like the Fifth Amendment applies to this little corner of the world.

I'm sure they have their reasons. But from a formerly banned person's perspective, you can't unequivocally say you won't make the same mistake again if you don't know what mistake you made in the first place. I believe I was able to piece it together (no confirmation though) but only because of a coincidence that happened outside eccie.
