Last I bothered to check, soon to be former President Obama (say that a couple of times ) issued 37 Executive Orders to modify Obamacare. The once important "Business Mandate" never was implement.

So yes, he has a direct hand in "authoring" it.

Not surprisingly, Ezra and Stephenopolous didn't bring that up.

It really puzzles me why Obama is running away from his signature legislation, Obamacare, so quickly and easily. This year, the federal penalty for not having health insurance is steep. All the years he fought having Obamacare modified, having Reid not pick up house bills, bad mouthing Republicans in the press, "shutting down" the government, lying and crawfishing to the American public...for what?

And for Obama to do it with such lame coyness as "I didn't author it", "I'm not the one who named it Obamacare", and my favorite: "If you can replace it with anything that is demonstrably better, I'm all for it."

What Obama has done is not only admitted defeat, he's willingly setting the table to having his legacy wiped out.

Now that he doesn't have the bully pulpit of the Presidency, he is basically a punk.

Edit: Perhaps now that his administration does not control the numbers anymore, it will be shown how quickly it was a farce. In other words "The jig is up."
