Strange, we've seen quite a few liberals sue Trump directives (the immigration halts, the sanctuary city fundings) when those SUING had no 'standing', and the courts not only hear the case, but ruled in their favor.

How about we just stop letting Muslim terrorists come to our country. They really do not have any right to do so.

Shumer was one of many who drew up the Diversity Visa Program in 1990. It was signed into law by George H.W. Bush in 1990 and it took affect in 1995 . Millions apply each year and less than 1% are accepted. Approximately 500,000 have come to the U.S. through the program since 2007. The winners undergo intense vetting. There are MANY success stories to be told of people who have come to the U.S. under the program and become U.S. citizens with very successful careers.
Sayfullo Saipov was supposedly radicalized AFTER he came this country. There are probably no vetting procedures that would have raised any red flags back in 2010. It is so easy to look back with 20-20 hindsight and condemn a successful program when a single individual does what Saipov did. Will Trump's Merit Based immigration program keep such individuals out of the country? Uzbekistan was not included in Trump's travel ban so he obviously sees the country as being ''safe".
BTW. in 2013 Shumer was among a bipartisan group that tried to end the program.

No, that doesn't mean Trump or anyone else "obviously" sees the country as being "safe". It just means they meet our standards for screening travelers and issuing passports.
