Maybe we should start a thread for what one got points for.
You can't post the infraction from the Mod verbatim but you can post why you have gotten points, I think. Someone more familiar with the rules can explain that out...
I recieved 5 points from a Mod who thought I posted a pic of someone shooting the bird towards wu. Hell it just was a repost of a reply austin ellen sent me, if memory serves, she said she got points for posting that too.
That got a two fer on that pic!

This forum is way over moderated. I got points for telling someone that their statement was bullshit. I believe that the old rules were to lenient but the new rules are ridiculous.

The flip side is that it isn't an insult to call another poster a homosexual. Homo isn't a slur word. If there is nothing wrong with being gay, it can't be an insult.
There are a couple of posters here who had defined "uncivil" behavior. These posters push the edges of the rules, and make a mockery of all reasonable attempts to moderate.
What we have now is the result of that behavior. It is impossible to spell out what is "civilized" discourse. That is the sort of stuff you learn in kindergarden, and if it was spelled out, the rules would be ransacked by the end of the week.
Frankly, the best we can hope for is that the moderation is balanced. It seems to be now. One should note that most of the rules that have been imposed have been requested by the troublemakers referenced above(that is what the moderators have indicated).
Finally, one should note that in the age of the new Federal government "control" mechanisms, a site like eccie can't be seen as supporting hate speech. If such things were tolerated, and publicized(which they inevitably would be), eccie would be crucified.

I got a warning. I did not say that the person making the post was assinine, I stated that the premise of the post was assinine.
