I agree that there is nothing wrong with this question. Actually a pretty smart one.
I would go to a private physician for a regular check-up, do the blood work and ask him to run it for everything including stds. You don't have to let him know why you want it run, just tell him you want the full testing done.
Most guys in the hobby have something to lose. If you don't, then ...

It's okay. I was expecting this from the "vets". It's funny how the most helpful responses are from PM's. Hmm I wonder why those guys don't post publicly. I can take it so I just post whatever comes to mind. Like I tell my guys in the civie world, the dumbest questions are the ones that aren't asked.

Actually, the clinic is a smarter idea. You go to your physician, it ends up in your health record. Maybe your insurance rates go up. Maybe at some point in the future you are getting a life insurance policy and your wife wants to know why you were getting tested for STDs.

Something is wrong here if you are more worried about caught being tested versus doing the deed.
There are dozens of testing facilities in the area. They will test for strep throat or athlete's foot too if you really think you need a cover story.

I never said that I wasn't worried about doing the deed. I'm still very cautious when seeing someone. I've never gotten a STD test ( except HIV when in the military but that's different ) before so just trying to do my homework here. Any recommendations on these other testing facilities?

Just call any Doctors office. Make a appointment and pay cash. No insurance. Do not use you real address. Give them the you have no insurance line and get a self insurered discount. When the results from the blood tests are ready they will have to mail them somewhere. Have them sent to your buds house.

Planned parenthood offers free or low cost testing for your SO. No insurance required. The Health Dept will offer it free or low cost to both men and women. It's all confidential, but in some cases, they have to report certain positive tests to the state. Both places offer a wide range of services so u won't have to worry about someone guessing the reason for you visit.
If anything comes up positive at PP, health dept, or a clinic, be SURE to get a 2nd opinion before you panic. They used more generalized tests that sometimes come up with false positives. A false negative is rare, so if it all comes back clean, you can rest at ease.
A nonhobby friend of mine got a false positive when she got tested to go on a missionary trip. She was obviously devastated and called me since I used to work for a testing center. Her 2nd, 3rd and 4th tests all came back normal, but it can be a scary time waiting for the 2nd opinion.
Going to ur Dr is a great idea mentioned earlier. They have more modern (less false positives) and doctors rarely probe as to why u want it done.
Great question! Ignore the pot stirrers.

There are many anonymous test centers in town. I've used the one on Mesa just south of 2222. I contacted them with a fake email account, used a fake name when I went in (that just happened to match the fake email addy), paid cash, and returned to get the results in person. And yes, they do other testing besides STD, so you can get your cholesterol checked while you are there too.

Hold on as I take a sip of my haterade baby......
Ah......... tastes so good!......
txaustin202..... I was simply trying to say that if you want to get tested do it. You are as likely to be spotted going to the STD place as you would going to see a provider. This is a small world. When you play in this business whether you are a provider or hobbyist, you take a risk. All you can do is minimize it but it will never go away. I don't care what precautions you take. I would not worry about getting tested at the STD place. You must not be too worried about being spotted because from your own admission, you see provider 2-3 times a week. Get tested dude if that is what you want...

This is exactly what I'm looking for. What is the name of the place? I looked up 2222 and Mesa on Google maps. Only saw a bunch of trees.

Attention to details Sixx. I was specifically talking about the place on Waller and not being sure if it's located inside a strip mall or what. For example I went to a place for my regular physical and it's surrounded by Fuddruckers and other restaurants. More likely to be seen there by people that I know than at an incall or hotel. Yes I know there are risks. Just trying to minimize it. That's why I want to go to a place where I can have a cover story if I run into someone.
