Colin Kaepernick signs multi-project deal with Disney.

SAN FRANCISCO (KRON) — Colin Kaepernick has signed a deal to produce an exclusive docuseries with Disney, ESPNannouncedMonday.

Kaepernick’s production company, RA Vision Media, said the deal involves multiple projects, including a documentary series on the last five years of the former NFL quarterback’s life.

The series for Disney would cover Kaepernick’s final season with the San Francisco 49ers.

Another project includes both scripted and unscripted stories exploring race, social injustice and the search for equity, according to ESPN.

In a statement, Kaepernick said he was looking forward to the partnership.

“I am excited to announce this historic partnership with Disney across all of its platforms to elevate Black and Brown directors, creators, storytellers, and producers, and to inspire the youth with compelling and authentic perspectives,” Kaepernick said in a statement. “I look forward to sharing the docuseries on my life story, in addition to many other culturally impactful projects we are developing.”

Last week, it was announced that filmmaker Ava DuVernay and Kaepernick werepartnering with Netflixfor a limited series based on his high school years.

Kaepernick, who will appear as himself, will also executive produce and narrate the series. An actor will be cast to play young Kaepernick.

The only QBs Kap is perhaps better than on your list are Minshew and Fitzpatrick. And that's even a maybe. As far as all backup QBs, he is probably better than most of them in the league.

All these QBs are white. And on an NFL roster. At one point I may have conceded that Kap is better than say Minshew (I've had Kap on my FF roster many times) but he's been out of the league for three years.

Kaps tryout was not very good. He was combative, not just uncooperative. Let's be honest Kap is a coach killer. Maybe even a league killer.

Disney signed him to a developmental deal? How's that going to work with his NDA? How's he going to function as "an NFL QB" with that going on? Who will Disney tap to put Kap on a team? As I written before, I wouldn't sign anyone to a huge money contract this season because of COVID considerations. Kap's out will be "I'm not getting paid."

Then again, lets look at CHI. Their lunatic mayor doesn't want people into the city who've been out of state until they pass a 14 day self quarantine period. Gonna be hard for the Bears to play home games with that order. Maybe the Bears signing Kap gets her to rescind that. Maybe the Kap QBd Bears would be allowed to play at any stadium. Nothing like screams of "racism" to take your mind off covid.

F Kapernick. Grew up privileged, got paid millions to play in an 80% black league, stopped taking steroids (notice how much less jacked he got over time), and the league caught up with the gimmick offense. Every single person on this forum has less privilege than Kap, but muh racism.

He could still be making millions as a backup, but chose to be the mouthpiece for his girlfriend’s beliefs. Guess what? If I got on social media and spoke my mind, I wouldn’t get to keep my job either.

Nike and Disney wouldn’t be throwing sponsor dollars at me though, so I’ll just use my show up and shut up privilege and continue to get paid.
