Public officials must put country over party and work for the people, he said. He also offered his support to President-elect Joe Biden shortly — before pulling out a sword from his 1982 film “Conan the Barbarian.”
Schwarzenegger used the sword as a metaphor to offer hope to Americans following the Capitol riots, which have been linked to 5 deaths. He explained that swords get stronger after being repeatedly tempered, as steel is held in fire and then dunked in cold water over and over again.
American democracy has been tempered, he said.
“I believe as shaken as we are events of recent days, we will come out stronger because we now understand what can be lost,” Schwarzenegger said. “We need reforms of course, so that this never ever happens again. We need to hold accountable the people that brought us to this unforgivable point. And we need to look past ourselves, our partisan disagreements and put our democracy first.”

No i condemn that act at the Capitol! But its hypocrisy for anyone to condemn one and not the other! On either side.

Much more damage in property and lives was done during the riots. Plus it furthered the division in this Country substantially. The dims used it as a tool until it hurt them in the polls. Remember the police precincts and State Houses that were invaded by these antheifa thugs?

Alexandria Ocasio Cortez was on the Stephanopoulus show this morning. I took that as a welcome opportunity to rub one out while fantasizing about her blow job lips and massive bazongas. However I also half paid attention to what she said. She thought half of the Congressmen could have been killed on Wednesday. She also appeared to say that only about half of the House was in the building that day. So it wasn't clear whether she meant the crowd would have wasted every last one of the Congressmen in the building given the opportunity, or just every last one of the Democrats.

Anyway, I think she's nuts. I may have also been a little nutty earlier on when I posted this was no big deal. After seeing photos of people dressed in military and police gear and reading about a truck full of explosives and people looking for Mike Pence to hang him from a tree, maybe I minimized this.

Still, I agree with your point WD. Certain Congressmen go ape shit when their safety is threatened. But they ignore the threat to people and property when they believe that's in their best political interest.

That's certainly not to say that Trump doesn't need to go. As Hassan Rouhani, President of Iran, said yesterday, "When a sick person takes office, we see how he disgraces his country." Time for the disgrace to end.
