btw the "sneak attack" at Pearl was not supposed to be a sneak attack. it was supposed to coincide with a simultaneous "declaration" not quite of war but a cessation of relations between Japan and the US. close enough. but the final part of the communique that the Japanese ambassador to the US was supposed to deliver to the White House at the exact same time as the attack at Pearl.

reparations for slavery should be for former slaves who are now dead. no thanks to Andrew Johnson, he vetoed the 40 acres/mule bill. personally, manumission should've been included in that bill.


besides, theres not that much money for the descendants of former slaves. it'd be be around $600 billion (a rough estimate). 40 acres/mule is about $150,000 in todays dollars. if discharged, it'd be around $30,000 per slave descendant which I think is around 20 million out of 48 million free blacks.


a stronger case can be made for the black codes aka jim crow laws which ran in many southern states from 1885 to 1970. other non-southern states had it for awhile, eventually, they repealed many of those laws over time. on that issue, reparations has to come from state, county and local govt. Fed discrimination was limited to redlining banking and hiring discrimination.

I accept your general thesis, but I care to an extent, because this Bitch is attempting to represent the US in the Olympics. This isn't Kaopernick taking a knee. And she made a crazy accusation of being set up. She should be proud of her hatred, instead of blaming others. I would respect her slightly, if she refused to represent the US..
