Having a valid ID to vote is not the problem. The problem is how hard it is to get for poor people. For the elderly.

And how Republicans are making it harder to vote in metropolitan areas with less polling places and cutting down availability in poor areas.

How is it hard? In PA they send you a document a month or so before it expires and you go to the dmv or AAA and get a new one. It takes 10 minutes on weekdays, possibly more in weekends when it’s crowded. For lost ones you have to fill out a form then go do the same thing, there’s a notation on the replacement to hinder fraud.

Theres always weekends and offsite. I’d venture to say 99% of the population already had id, so it’s not much of an issue in the first place. That same poor person needs id for a million other reasons, including taxpayer funded assistance, so the likelihood they’re ID-less is basically nil.
